* DarkhorseCasting: Most people featured on the album, with the exception of Ellie Goulding, Travi$ Scott, 2 Chainz, Pusha T, and Ariana Grande, aren't very well known in the US. They originally wanted either Music/Rihanna or Music/NickiMinaj to do the vocals of "Lean On", but both refused.

Peace Is the Mission is the third studio album by Music/MajorLazer, released June 1, 2015. This album sees them focusing less on reggae than their previous material, and incorporates elements of pop and hip hop. That being said, there's still plenty to be found here. The album notably contains "Lean On", which proved to be the biggest hit in their careers. It topped many charts worldwide, and placed Top 5 in many others, becoming the biggest EDM crossover since Avicii's "Wake Me Up!" until Music/TheChainsmokers' "Closer". Even more impressively, "Lean On" became the most streamed song on Spotify of all time (until Music/Drake's "One Dance" surpassed it).

They have a page now. Also "Light It Up" isn't an ode to intoxication at all despite what the title would suggest.

!!Major Tropes

* CoverVersion: "Lost" was originally by Frank Ocean.
* IntercourseWithYou: "Powerful", being sung in an almost conversational style between Ellie Goulding and Tarrus Riley, hints at them having sex.
* MoodWhiplash: Three songs, "Lean On", "Powerful", and "Be Together", are much more pop-oriented than the rest, and all three were released as singles. Clearly an intentional move to release the pop songs to the radio while the rest were made for dance parties.
* NewSoundAlbum: Less focus on reggae/dancehall (though there is still plenty), with added elements of pop and hip-hop.
* OdeToIntoxication: "Blaze Up the Fire" and "Light It Up", most obviously.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: "Lean On", being about friends getting through hardship.
* RepurposedPopSong: "All My Love" was originally made for the soundtrack of Film/TheHungerGamesMockingjayPart1 before remixed to feature Machel Montano and placed on the album.
* AWildRapperAppears: Inverted with "Night Riders", which is a song by three rappers with a wild appearance from a reggae artist.
