* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Zii and the Troublemakers, the comic's resident rock band, more or less runs on this to begin with. Yuki and Sonya can't stand each other (though Sonya quite enjoys provoking Yuki), and Zii finds both of them stressful to work with for various reasons -- but they all enjoy being in the band. This tips Yuki and Sonya towards FriendlyEnemies status, and then [[SlapSlapKiss more]].

** A double instance near/at the end of volume 5: first, [=DiDi=] finally gets an opportunity to try Gary's oral talents -- only to find not only that he's not home, but all his clean clothes are missing [[AdultFear and no one knows where he's gone]]. Then, a few strips later, readers discover where he's gone; [[spoiler:he's in ''UsefulNotes/{{Paris}}'', for initially unclear reasons]]...

** Strip #750 (June 4, 2013; nonetheless NSFW) uses this. It's maybe doubly necessary and doubly funny here because Senna is {{Transgender}}, and casual readers may not realise exactly what they're not seeing.

** A variant treatment of the trope subsequently appears with regard to the {{Transgender}} woman Senna, who presents as a ''very'' attractive woman -- with a penis.

** When Tess is flirtatiously denying that she is in a lesbian relationship with Maura, she admits that they ''do'' shower together. * SoCalization: Appears in one of the standard forms when Isabelle acts seductively toward Zii, and [[https://pixietrixcomix.com/menage-a-3/the-right-romantic-moment Zii says that she hopes that Isabelle is over 18]]. The age of consent in Canada is 16. This is a little odd, in that the comic normally does a good job of {{avert|edTrope}}ing the trope, maintaining a subtle but distinctive {{Canad|aEh}}ian flavor; it might be excused, though, in that even if the ''legal'' age of consent is 16, doing it with someone who's still a minor in every other respect ''is'' kinda creepy if you aren't very close in age (and as Zii is likely in her mid-20s, no, they aren't).

** Matt [[YourCheatingHeart cheats on Dillon]], leaving him angry and heartbroken -- but Matt only has to show up at Dillon's dressing-room door with a puppy-dog smile and they're on the floor together within moments.

* SuddenlySexuality:
** Zii apparently has an aura which warps everyone around her into bisexuality. Can she really be ''that'' good? Noted cases include Sonya (a random waitress who ended up transformed into a major second-string character) and an Internet {{Troll}}'s mother.
** {{Lampshaded}} (and {{parod|y}}ied) in the "Bonularity" guest strip (incidentally, considered one of the better guest strips); the three lead characters are apparently going to be the focal point of an event causing every single person in Montreal to have sex with everybody else.

** Senna, fascinated by by his adorkability, sweeps him off on a date in Paris (joining the MileHighClub on the way).

** Aside from the art, the ''Franchise/ArchieComics'' references are also numerous: BettyAndVeronica get mentioned ("Archie's marrying Betty AND Veronica?"), Sandra has been compared to Archie, and the comics themselves occasionally appear on-panel. Possibly a nod to Giz's sometime employer: she's drawn issues for ''Archie''.

* StupidSexyFlanders: Zii increasingly finds Gary interesting, especially in later volumes, while ''also'' increasingly trying to dismiss him as a hopeless geek or more like a kid brother. (The results also serve as a ShipTease, qv.) For example, in strip #1073 (September 22, 2015, marginally NSFW), she feels in need of a hookup, and runs through a list of possibilities; first Sonya, then Yuki -- and then she involuntarily imagines Gary naked. She promptly bolts for a cold shower, screaming "Too Gary! Too Gary!"
