Not helping matters was Chapter 1105 where Nami sent Jimbe to help him ''on the fight'' and also to not get lost. The slander against Zoro ended in chapter 1110 when Zoro defeated Lucci before Jimbe arrived.[[/labelnote]]

Hence the jokes about Zoro getting a powerup when he fights minorities or him refusing to fight white people. This reached a fever pitch after the release of the [[Series/OnePiece2023 live-action adaptation]], where Zoro's first scene is killing Mr. 7 -- who is played by a black actor. This meme was later combined with "base Lucci" after the release of Chapter 1110, with fans joking Zoro won after realizing leopards are from Africa.[[/labelnote]]
