She becomes a teacher at Ito's school - hence fulfilling the conditions of a HotLibrarian - to investigate Makoto's true relationship with Ito and convince him to come home and inherit the dojo. [[spoiler: She has a younger brother complex, not accepting that he has grown up and does not rely on her as he once did.]] She still buys him women's clothes, however ...

* IllGirl -- Takayo Iizuka, [[spoiler: Makoto's fiancee by ArrangedMarriage]], daughter of the president of the Iizuka business group and is a [[UnluckyChildhoodFriend childhood friend of Makoto's]] and in love with him. She has always been weak physically and is often tired. She transfers to Ito's school to be close to him and win him back. Her older brother Takashi soon follows as he has a sister complex and often tries to foil Makoto's plan despite Takayo's protests against it. Also Ito's oldest cousin Kozue, according to her grandmother.

* CryCute -- Ito manages this a few times in the series.

As they learn to depend on each other, they inevitably grow closer. However, there are others who do not wish for Makoto to succeed ...

[[SecondYearProtagonist Second year high school student Ito Miura]], an enthusiastic {{tomboy}} and skilled in martial arts from her family dojo, has a dream of someday becoming a successful actor and is the female ClubPresident of the DramaClub. One day she meets a female [[NewTransferStudent transfer student]] named Makoto Amano, who is [[TomboyAndGirlyGirl Ito's complete opposite in femininity]] and shares Ito's vision of acting. Together they soon become fast friends.

* SecondYearProtagonist -- Ito.

* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy -- Ito and Makoto. At first glance their dynamic ''looks'' like TomboyAndGirlyGirl, but [[FirstEpisodeSpoiler we all know why that's not the case]]. Makoto's being a {{bishonen}} only enhanced the disguise.

* CuteGhostGirl -- Sayoko in Volume 7. She can also be a StringyHairedGhostGirl. There is a legend surrounding her at Tsugumi's second home that a red-headed WomanInWhite lures men to the pond in the woods and drowns them. There is another ghost woman in Volume 8 that fits most of these tropes. Very likely a WomanInWhite.

* RescueArc -- Nobuko is kidnapped by three people robbing the school, who happen to be [[spoiler: disillusioned childhood friends who grew up in the same orphanage]]. Ito, Makoto, and company [[CaptainObvious go to her rescue]].
