** After mistakenly believing Kotarou has experienced his first love and needlessly preparing red beans and rice (see Wiki/TheOtherWiki on ''sekihan''), Saikawa promises Ryuuichi that he would prepare ''sekihan'' as well for when Ryuuichi actually ''does'' experience his first love. A few chapters later, he ''does'' prepare the dish when Ryuuichi receives a love letter in his locker.

* CryCute:
** Inomata cries near the end of her introductory chapter as she unleashes the stress and worries over her constant studying, but does so in a cute way.

** The few times Ryuuichi sheds tears doesn't make him look ugly.

*SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: The girls at this school are shown to be interested in boys who are kind.
** Ryuuichi is popular because he is so considerate and warm-hearted. They refer to him as "the fuzzy type", comfortable and comforting. Few of the girls act on this interest because they don't want to compete for his attention with his toddler brother, which, incidentally, is another thing they like about him.

Adult Fear is now a disambig, and this is misuse which boils down to "listing all the scary stuff without context"

* AdultFear:
** Ryuuichi outright panics whenever one of the children wanders off and he cannot find them. More so when it is his own little brother. The idea of something bad happening to them terrifies him; examples include Kirin jumping off a ledge believing she could fly, and a shady masked man (actually Takuma's father) picking up one of the twins.
** Ryuuichi sometimes delves into the fact that he is Kotarou's only living relative alive and is now responsible for him. He wonders what he will have to do once they inevitably leave the Chairwoman's house to sustain both of them.
** While some of the children accidentally locking their caretakers/family members outside is initially PlayedForLaughs, Ryuuichi has to sternly scold them because if one of the kids was hurt, the adults wouldn't be able to get in.
** Chapter 64 has Shizuka and Ryuuichi in a panic when Taka runs away. Ryuuichi is frantically searching for him, while Shizuka is stuck at home stewing on the dual fears that he either followed a random stranger or got run over because he's too small for a driver to notice.
