It was originally serialized starting in Feburary of 2017 and adapted into an anime by Creator/{{Dogakobo}} in April of 2020.

First year high school student Hinata "Hina" Tsurugi moves into a seaside town she had visited several times as a child. When out exploring the nearby shoreline, she runs across an older girl who is fishing off the pier. After a slight mishap, the girl coerces Hinata into joining her high school fishing club, the "Breakwater Club". Although initially apprehensive, a little urging from a childhood friend Natsumi Hodaka, and some time spent fishing with the club, convinced Hina to stay

The anime's English release was handled by Funimation through [=AnimeLab=]. Singaporean anime provider [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGbshtvS9t-8CW11W7TooQg Muse Asia]] is officially streaming this series on their Youtube channel.

On April 15, the anime went on an indefinite hiatus due to the effects of the [[UsefulNotes/CoronavirusDisease2019Pandemic COVID-19 pandemic]]. It was later announced the show would return on July 7, rebroadcasting its first 3 episodes prior to the fourth episode being shown on July 28.

* BrilliantButLazy: Yuki is perpetually laid back and avoids pretty much all work, but she's also very adept at fishing and ''especially'' at teaching, in contrast to Makoto who overloads people with information. Yuki's relaxed attitude and more laid back approach makes her a good teacher for Hina.
* CuteLittleFangs: Natsumi always has a fang visible on the left side of her mouth.
* DCupDistress: One of the first things Hina notices about Makoto is her large chest, which immediately flusters the older girl.
* DoesNotLikeShoes: Yuki dislikes wearing a neckerchief and stockings with her school uniform and takes them off to get herself in the mindset for fishing. She wriggles her toes and is barefoot at ease or in just flip-flops while outside, and also dons a straw hat.
* EpicFail: Hina's first attempt at casting resulted in her catching Natsumi's skirt instead. This happens several more times to the point that Natsumi back away to the end of the dock to avoid it happening again... and Hina somehow still hits her.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: Among the four main girls:
** Sanguine: Hina - an eager-to-learn (if a bit easily overwhelmed) newbie to fishing.
** Choleric: Natsumi - pushy and excitable, but otherwise passionate.
** Phlegmatic: Yuki - the laid-back leader of the Breakwater Club, always in her own element.
** Melancholic: Makoto - shy, cautious, doesn't talk much and [[MotorMouth poorly paces herself when she does.]]

* SenseiChan: The club advisor and school nurse, Kotani-sensei. When she first appears, she seems to be a well-mannered, demure woman. But the mere sound of her car approaching sends [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness the stoic Yuki into a tizzy]]. As soon as Kotani gets a whiff of seafood, she guzzles a shopping bag full of 40ozs, leches all over Hina and Natsumi, devours the food they caught (including Hina's prized clam), and then bails with a cheery goodbye.

* KansaiAccent: Yuki has a very countryside way of speaking.
