* A Brodax ''ComicStrip/{{Popeye}}'' cartoon had Popeye and Brutus named as heirs to Barnacle Bill, which Brutus tried (and fails) to keep Popeye from attending the will reading. The first item is a can of spinach which incenses Brutus as he attempts to have his way with Popeye and is summarily dispatched after Popeye eats the spinach. The will also leaves $1000 in cash, which Popeye says he will donate to the orphans as "I already has me good fortune" (the spinach).

* Since changes were made in the early 1960s in Britain to peerages, it is now necessary for someone to renounce their peerage to be a member of the House of Commons.
