* In a fake commercial on ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'', a jogger is running in Central Park and runs into a tunnel. Suddenly, his feet are glued to the ground he can lift either of them. As he looks around in horror, he sees another jogger struggling on the ground against the glue and in another spot, a skeleton wearing jogging clothes. As the screen fades to black, the jogger falls over struggling himself. The product: Black Flag Jogger Motel. The tagline: ''Joggers jog in, but they don't jog out.''

* It's often said that the popular idea of a "good" rape victim, i.e. one who can't be accused of being in any way [[NotIfTheyEnjoyedItRationalization complicit in her own assault]], is the [[MissingWhiteWomanSyndrome nice white lady]] who's out jogging when a masked, armed stranger jumps out from behind a tree and drags her off into the bushes. Jogging is a wholesome activity mostly done by middle-class or wealthier people, and this scenario doesn't include any of the elements -- like the perpetrator being known to the victim, the absence of a weapon, or the involvement of drugs or alcohol -- that are so often used as proof that the victim "asked for it."

[[note]] Depressingly, some jerks STILL blame the victim in such cases, stating that she shouldn't have been running by herself and/or in the location in question--both the abovementioned Kari Swenson and Tricia Meili were subjected to this.
