* ''WesternAnimation/{{Kaeloo}}'': In Episode 210, Mr. Cat sets up a game show that judges people based on their ability to do good deeds. One of the challenges is for Kaeloo to help an old lady cross the street. Kaeloo does this by transforming into Bad Kaeloo and using SuperStrength to reconstruct the road, thus creating a safe path for the granny to cross, but Kaeloo fails the challenge because her actions led to all the cars crashing due to the new road shape.

* [[Characters/MarvelComicsThanos Thanos]], of all people, once helped an old woman cross the street, even forcing a bus to slow down to allow him to do it. [[BaitTheDog This is actually the worst thing he's ever done]], as it prevented a fateful meeting between two women which would have resulted in them going on to fix many of the world's problems and usher in a bright future for humanity and the universe at large. Instead, the bus being late caused one of them to live a life of utter mediocrity. And when she's laying on her deathbed, Thanos returns and uses his powers to show her the life she almost had before he interfered, [[DeathByDespair causing her to die shortly after from sheer hopelessness]].

* The manual for [[VideoGame/{{Wizardry}} Wizardry]] [[DiscussedTrope discusses this]] as examples for alignments. A good character will help an old lady across the street. A neutral will cross the street and just happen to do so alongside an old lady. An evil character will only accept pay to help an old lady across the street. And the [[BigBad bad guys they fight]] will help an old lady [[BlackComedy halfway across the street.]] It also mentions, when talking about the lack of gender effects on gameplay that 'sometimes a heroine will help a little old man across the street.'

* In ''VideoGame/TheFall'', ARID must complete a series of tests for service robots in order to proceed. One of these tests is to assist an old woman across a simulated busy street. The woman is represented by a wooden facade on a track - which is broken and cannot move all the way across. [[spoiler:The solution is to let the "woman" get hit by a car, breaking the facade at its base, and carrying "her" the rest of the way.]]
