* ''Anime/CrayonShinChan'' has a short arc where the titular character's mother, Misae, decides to obtain a driver's license for herself, only to screw up comically at every turn. It culminates with Misae being forced to take Shin-Chan ''along'' with her (in the backseat) during the final exam, but somehow Misae manages to pass with some unexpected assistance from Shin-Chan (for instance, Shin-Chan commenting "Sale on the left!" making Misae stop at traffic lights and looking at the correct direction at the right time).

Upon deciding to obtain one she's eventually required to take a driving test.
