Fizzarolli communicates right back, signs an autograph for Oliver and encourages him to follow his dreams. After he's performed his number in the final round, Fizz thanks the audience for their support, and upon spotting Oliver he thanks him as well with sign language, leaving Oliver to smile in response.

* Burt Lancaster had a childhood friend, Nick Cravat, who appeared in several of Lancaster's movies. Cravat was never able to get rid of his thick Brooklyn accent, so he communicated by mime when in a movie where the accent would be inappropriate. He often seemed on the verge of stealing the show -- one review described him as miming his way into the audience's hearts.

* ''Webcomic/TouhouJournal''[='=]s version of [[Franchise/{{Touhou}} Reimu]] is mute, but is exceptionally cute and [[NiceGuy kind]], a very different depiction from her usual portrayal as a {{Jerkass}}. Despite her silence, other characters seem to be able to understand her just fine. She [[SuddenlySpeaking gets better]]. It's also justified, though it's one massive MindScrew, with some WidgetSeries for good measure. She ends up becoming the {{Tritagonist}}.

* Thana, the VillainProtagonist of ''Film/Ms45'', is very cute in a TheGirlNextDoor kind of way, although shy and socially awkward. When she glams herself to go trolling for men, she is absolutely stunning.

* ''ComicBook/TeenTitans'': Joseph "Jericho" Wilson is "cute" in the {{Bishonen}} sense, the WhiteSheep of his mercenary family, and communicates in ASL unless he's possessing someone. The reason for this is that his father, Deathstroke, let Joey's throat be cut (severing his vocal cords) rather than betray a client.

* Jericho from ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans2003'' is [[SlashedThroat physically unable]] to speak, but he sure is [[{{Bishonen}} cute]].
