* The comic book ComicBook/TheMaxx included a different short sentence in its credits.
* Keith Giffen's comics usually have some sort of credit gag, eg: Keith (angry old man) Giffen.
* ComicBook/Transmetropolitan at the end of each issue, the three eyed smiley face would be shown in a way somehow related to the content of the issue (walking in the rain, smoking a cigarette, etc.)
* Very frequently in old-school Marvel books, especially The Amazing Spider Man and ComicBook/FantasticFour, Creator/StanLee would "fancy up" the credit box on the first page. The gags would range from simple nicknames ("by Stan "the Man" Lee and Jack "King" Kirby!") to brutal SelfDeprecation ("written by Stan Lee... because we couldn't afford Creator/MickeySpillane!")
** A RunningGag in these would be Stan denigrating some ButtMonkey staffer, most commonly letterer Artie Simek; when Simek grew annoyed with this, it was changed to the fictional Irving Forbush (the "hero" of Marvel's gag series ComicBook/NotBrandEchh).
* The French comic book Comicbook/Asterix in general ends its adventures with the villagers of Asterix's home having a celebratory banquet, where they have to tie up their bard Cacofonix so that he doesn't give a song. This changes on a few occasions.
** In stories where Cacofonix has given a hand he is untied and given a seat at the banquet (Asterix and the Normans, The Mansions of the Gods). In "Asterix and Caesar's Gift" and "Asterix and the Secret Weapon" he is having a chat with a girl. In "Asterix and the Magic Carpet" he is far away in India, while his rival Fulliautomatix is sadly awaiting his arrival.
*** The exception to this case is "Asterix the Gladiator" (the first story with Cacofonix having a major role).
** In "Asterix and the Soothsayer" he is content, having dreams of eventual renown to keep him satisfied.
** In "Asterix in Spain" he is laughing at Obelix imitating Spanish dancing.
** In "Asterix and the Laurel Wreath" and "Asterix and the Picts" he is chatting with someone.
** In "Asterix in Corsica" he is surprised to find Dogmatix keeping him some company.
** In "Asterix and the Roman Agent" thanks to the slander that divides the village, one banquet features Cacofonix (the only one not caught up in the arguments) having an ImagineSpot where everyone else in the village is tied up, in a tragic reversal of the norm. Thankfully, another banquet is held at the end where all is set right and he is tied up.
** In "Obelix and Co" he is held down by a menhir.
* Each of the longer ComicBook/SamAndMaxFreelancePolice comics carries a title gag in the form of "Based on the [Media Type], [Silly Title]", such as Based on the famed Beat-generation novel, "Sam and Max Drive Around in a Car" by Bucky Kerouac. This tradition is carried over to Season 2 and 3 of Creator/Games's series of adventure games. The episode "Chariot of the Dogs", for example, is "Based on the best-selling addled-brained musings of noted aliens-made-all-our-stuff theorist Erich von Dannyohday"
* Bongo Comics' ComicBook/TheSimpsons usually credits Matt Groening with a different title in every issue.
* ComicBook/TheWickedAndTheDivine: Every chapter begins and ends with the icon wheel, showing representations of each god as well as their status.
** Some sections of the wheel are empty, representing gods not yet known by the media.
** Dead gods have their icons replaced by skulls.
** Once Luci is arrested, her icon has bars over it.
** When Baphomet bursts onto the scene, his icon appears for the first time in the wheel while wreathed in fire.
** Likewise, when Dionysus is introduced, his symbol appears in color, to highlight the imagery of pills hanging from the vine instead of grapes.
* The first panel of Creator/DCThomson strip Oor Wullie always has Wullie sitting on an upturned bucket. If he's not there, we see the abandoned bucket with narration wondering or explaining where Wullie is.
* Around the 1980s, Marvel Comics started using a standard cover design that included a small box at the top left corner. That corner box would often have unique art that varied with each cover. Here is an article explaining a sample of them.

* WebAnimation/UnforgottenRealms begins every episode with a black screen with a message about "the following episode", which is accompanied by an announcer-type voice not-quite reading the message word-for-word. The search engine "Bing" white text has a different background image on its homepage everyday. Its desktop app, deviated further and further from what the voice says in later episodes. Variations have included "The following episode may or may not contain the word 'tiddly wank'", "The following episode did not care for the new Batman movie", and "The following episode will not have one of those 'the following episode' announcements at the start of it." Episode Nine actually doesn't have one, cutting immediately into the recap and title theme. * WebAnimation/BonusStage started having one consistently after its 75th episode, with variations on the crowd shot near the end of the opening.
* WebAnimation/ZeroPunctuation has a five-frame "comic" in every end credits sequence. Before getting an official title song, Yahtzee used music with a title or theme that was related to the game reviewed.
* The opening for each video in WebVideo/ProfoundMomentsInLeft4Dead2 changes slightly depending on which season the video is a part of. The poster shown at the very start, the music played during it, and the images of the Survivors the players
are controlling for that season all change, the former two reasons being the poster and intro music for the logo to be changed; either for a holiday or if campaign in question and the date celebrates a milestone latter just being the Survivors doing silly things.
* In WebAnimation/DeadlySpaceAction, early episodes begin with "In the future, space consists
of something. As eight hexagons..." and a witty ending. This stopped about halfway through season one. Season two has an ending gag: an OnTheNext screen with the next episode's title and a blatantly false description of 2011, clicking on a Doodle it.
* On some YouTube Poops that use the "When there's smoke, they pinch back!" slogan, the words "smoke" and/or "pinch"

** The specials board at Coffee of Doom, which always shows ridiculous things like "Cup o' Bees", "Mocha with a hair in it", and "We murder you". Faye has commented that no one ever orders the specials, which is fine with her because then she doesn't have to make them. When no-nonsense Penelope was left in charge, the specials were ordinary drinks, pastries, and a request to not chat with her, which of course was ignored. Recently Jeph expolred a third way with "Banana Latte, Banana Bread, Banana Brownies, We got way too many bananas!" TruthInTelevision if you've ever dealt with having over-ordered a perishable item.
** There are also some recurring jokes on the main menu board, including a drink size "WTF" and a beverage sold as "Frappuccino Ripoff".
* Each story begins with an old comic cover that looks nonsensical taken out of context.
* Webcomic/PrincessPi has randomly selected images and quotes in lieu of cover pages and synopses. Also, the first panel of each comic credits a different celebrity with Pis creation.
* There is no standard title drawing for Webcomic/BobTheAngryFlower, with examples ranging from illegible scrawls to a carefully laid out title box announcing "Robert: The very angriest of flowers"
* Webcomic/TimesLikeThis: The title graphic in the comic itself is usually themed after a reference in the strip or the general gist of the story.
* From Webcomic/SecretOfManaTheater: At the beginning of every episode Marle casts a spell with often different results.
** Since the beginning of the series, she's been crushed, fried, crushed some more, set on fire, mocked, hanged herself, been replaced a few times, been electrocuted, crushed some more, shrunk, exploded, atomized, chased, run over, been eaten, and has been stripped naked.
** When not being mutiliated beyond recognition, Marle has also engaged in riding the title card like a horse or walking on a giant ball, circus-style.
** Lucca and Magus from the same game have also appeared in openings.
* For most of its original run, Webcomic/TheAdventuresOfJoeTheCircle had a different, alliterative byline in every episode. Examples include "Raptly 'Ritten by Mike Shapiro" and "Webfully Woven by Mike Shapiro." Eventually lampshaded with "Adverbly Verbed by Mike Shapiro."
* Every Webcomic/PhillerSpace comic has different text before the title.
* Webcomic/ThinkingTooMuchToThinkPositively: The colours in the comic's logo change in each strip, as well as the portrait of Creator/XanthippeHutcheon next to it.

* Twitch streamer WebVideo/The8BitDrummer has a variation. Every one of his streams start with a different piece of music playing over some art of him rushing to his drum kit to get ready. Sometimes, he plays this straight and performs some kind of joke or gag, such as reading a dictionary upside down or having his wife at the kit, when the camera comes on.
* WebVideo/BrowsHeldHigh:
** Each episode opens with Oancitizen reading some book or periodical relevant to the film for the episode -- from Literature/AlicesAdventuresInWonderland for Jan Svankmeyer's version to a Yankee Candle catalogue for Literature/Perfume.
--->Kyle: [reading Literature/FiftyShadesOfGrey] This is still an automatic punchline, right?
** Some exceptions are for Film/TrashHumpers, where he's reading garbage bag instructions, and Film/MrNobody, where he holds up his hands as if he was reading a book.
* WebVideo/CaptainDisillusion: At the end of every debunk video, Captain D exits the room in a comical way that usually ends with him either being injured or frustrated.
* WebVideo/DannyGonzalez opens every video with "What's up Greg, I hope you're all having a great day, welcome to another episode of..." and then he makes up a new series title that is related to the video subject. He likewise ends every episode with, "I'll see you guys next week with a really interesting video where I..." and then makes up an absurd video idea that he never actually does.
* WebVideo/DeadMeat ends the Kill Counts with James A. Janisse moving to the number counting screen in a special fashion, often related to the horror movie covered.
* WebVideo/DragonBallAbridged: From Episode 17 onward, the "please support official release" message is always done by the character who dies in that episode. (Or, in Episode 25's case, the character who ceases to exist as an individual being in that episode.)
* Each episode of WebVideo/Drawfee starts with a speed drawing of a coffee cup designed to look like whatever the topic of the video is.
* For a few years, the outro for WebVideo/GameGrumps videos had a gag where their "Subscribe" bar would be misspelled in ways like "Slubscribe," "Slurburb," or "Sruburbs." In the second episode of the VideoGame/SuperMarioBros1 playthrough, Dan decides to name the "Subscribe" bar "Scribey" and asks Barry to give it a smiley face, so the bar gets a smile and googly eyes.
* WebVideo/IHateEverything prefaces the beginning of every "I HATE" video with a message saying "WARNING!, SURPRISINGLY ENOUGH THIS IS MY OPINION. DON'T GET YOUR (insert word relevant to the topic of the video) IN A TWIST".
* WebVideo/JakeAndAmirs intro sequence is accompanied by a different voiceover every time, typically featuring the main characters introducing the show with a quick argument in their typical BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine style, with guest stars or members of the supporting cast occasionally getting involved.
-->Amir: Hey, you're watching Jake and Amir and I made this intro.\\
Jake: That's a lie.\\
Amir: From scratch, y'all.
* WebVideo/LinusTechTips videos open with a different slogan under the logo during the channel intro.
* The WebVideo/LoadingReadyRun Magic the Gathering-centred show Friday Nights has its opening sequence feature the cast in custom Magic the Gathering joke cards whose details change each episode. The episode Unusual, focused around the official joke set "Unstable", plays with the expectations by having the cast cards be reasonably balanced and not looking mechanically out of place for an official set. The episode The Exile Zone, an homage to Franchise/TheTwilightZone breaks the pattern -- instead of the cast, the cards are official MTG cards that fit the theme of the episode.
* The web series Matchstick McCoy is NOTHING BUT couch gags.
* WebVideo/NarutoTheAbridgedComedyFandubSpoofSeriesShow, also created by Creator/LittleKuriboh, has the starting disclaimer read out in a different way each episode. The highlight would be the one sung by Kakashi 'I'm Not Music/DavidBowie' Bowie
* WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic:
** At the end of each review, the Critic plays whatever he considers to be the worst line of the movie over the Channel Awesome logo.
** The 2017 Nostalgiaween intro (which appeared before the five October reviews) parodies the early Treehouse of Horror openings, as well as the normal Simpsons opening, by panning over a graveyard, then ending with the crew gathering on a couch. The names on the graveyard (which serve as Take Thats to some outdated pop culture phenomenon) change every episode, as does the "couch gag" endingFor Scary Godmother, Critic, Malcolm, and Tamara appear as animated ghosts; for It 2017, they get scared by a red balloon with eyes; for Halloween (2007) Critic appears dressed as Jason Vorhees wearing Freddy Krueger's glove; for The Mummy, Critic scares the others away by dressing as Jack Torrence; for The Mummy (2017) the group explodes into "Super Mecha Death Christ" after gathering on the couch..
** Similarly, Webvideo/TheCinemaSnob does the full [=MST3K=] stinger with a regrettable clip.
* Parlsey Boobs switched out its lyrics from episode to episode, getting progressively more bizzare until the end.
* The Creator/PhilthonJones intro. It started out (for the first three videos) as someone just saying "Philthon Jones", but there have been variations since -- one video even had the intro segue into the episode itself.
* Up until 2014, WebVideo/ProJared would open each of his full reviews with a shot of him holding a controller, a gameplay clip, then him stating "I'm playing (insert game here)". His tone instantly gives a general idea of what he thinks of it.
* This happens in WebVideo/ProjectVoicebend: Below the title of every episode, there is a funny line related to older episodes or the like. For example, one of them made of Tarrlok's Cool Kids' Club.
* The intro of WebVideo/RedLetterMedia's review show WebVideo/HalfInTheBag consists of Plinkett placing a beer bottle in a popcorn bag, announcing the title, and pulling away the bag as he makes a short declaration of some kind that may or may not have to do with the episode's content. Some of these are recurring, while others are only used once.
* At the end of every videon LetsPlay/Skawo sits there and waits for the video to end, and more often than not gets hurt, or annoyed. Not always though.
* WebVideo/Smosh: A random audio clip playing when the Smosh logo comes up in the beginning always gets interrup- SHUT! UP!
* Creator/Tobuscus opens each episode of Cute Win Fail with a MadLibsCatchPhrase intro, using the formula "Hi, I'm Toby Turner. [Improbable statement], and this is 'Cute Win Fail', the show where videos from three different [items related to improbable statement] compete to become the most EPIC."
* WebVideo/ToddInTheShadows opens each of his videos with a piano rendition of the song being reviewed. If it's a special review, like a top ten list, he will simply play a song from that year or theme. Rare exceptions include movie reviews (though at times he plays a song from the soundtrack), and "Sexy and I Know It", where Todd refuses to play the song.
** In the Trainwreckords episodes, Todd instead plays a piano rendition of one of the album's songs is played over the credits. Except for Music/VanHalen III and The Funky Headhunter, where instead he goes with a better known song from the artist ("Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love" and "U Can't Touch This").
** The other two series have song snippets play over the end credits. The song at the end of normal pop song reviews will be something tangentially related to the song or the circumstances around it (which often functions as a subtle TakeThat, like Tammy Wynette's "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" at the end of the "Dear Future Husband" review). One Hit Wonderland instead uses a cover of the reviewed song.
** Regardless of series, Todd almost always finishes his commentary by signing off and walking out of frame before the last few seconds of the song/music video play before cutting to credits. Memorably, the atrocious Asian stereotype at the end of Talk Dirty To Me made him frantically rush back into the scene and delay the credits to express his horror.
* WebVideo/UNHhhh opens with Trixie and Creator/Katya introducing themselves as progressively outlandish things, before stating the name of the show.
* WebVideo/YuGiOhTheAbridgedSeries
** Yami Yugi saying something random that usually has nothing to do with the plot, a fly-by of fake cards, and a ColdOpening before the opening credits.
** TheStinger: after every episode it is usually a blank screen with a joke related to the episode or a SpoofAesop. Then there is a stinger AFTER TheStinger.
