* ''Film/CarryOnBehind'': Creator/LarryDann recalls on the DVDCommentary that right before filming the scene where Bob and Clive get frisky with Sylvia and Vera, Creator/LizFraser told him to "grab hold of me tits", much to his amusement as he had never met her before.

** Majima Goro was initially meant to speak with a regular Kansai accent, but his voice actor Creator/HidenariUgaki could not pull it off for the life of him because he was born and raised in Tokyo. So Majima's character was changed to fake the accent on purpose, since the writing team figured that having him fake his accent would fit his character. This gets referenced a few times in ''VidedoGame/Yakuza4'' when a few people call out Majima on his accent (mostly in flashbacks). In the same vein, since Ugaki doesn't really like singing, he makes absolutely no effort to sound any good; the bad and occasionally manic singing was also kept in as part of Majima's character.

* Nowhere in the script for ''Series/OpenAllHours'' did it say anything about Arkwright having a stutter. That was entirely Ronnie Barker's idea.

** Creator/IanLavender was invited to choose Pike's scarf from The BBC Costume Department. He chose his beloved Aston Villa's colours.

* In ''Film/MissionImpossibleDeadReckoningPartOne'', the white makeup and black teardrop design for the henchwoman Paris was an idea of her actress, Creator/PomKlementieff.

This is so prevalent, even ''UsefulNotes/ElizabethII'' has done it.

* In Music/BritneySpears' debut video "Baby One More Time," her love interest is a high school basketball player and the climactic dance scene takes place on the school's basketball court, intercut with shots of the big game. According to Britney's memoir, the high school setting was actually her idea, and the basketball focus was because she herself played basketball in high school.

** For ''Film/{{Suicide Squad|2016}}'', Creator/MargotRobbie chose her [[Music/{{Blondie}} Debbie Harry]]-inspired Harley Quinn costume herself.

** Boba Fett's fighting style in "The Tragedy" and SpinOff''Series/TheBookOfBobaFett'' was modeled after the haka ([[UsefulNotes/NewZealand Māori]] ritual dance) at Creator/TemueraMorrison's own request. ** In "Stark Raving Dad", Creator/MattGroening had originally intended to design Karl to look like Creator/HarveyFierstein, who objected to the idea because he felt he did not "look like gay people, how they're supposed to look." Fierstein suggested that the character be made "blond, and tall, and gorgeous, and skinny, and [given] a beautiful place to live."

* Happened quite a few times on ''Series/BreakingBad''. Walt's physical appearance -- his hair and mustache and being slightly overweight -- were all Creator/BryanCranston's suggestions. Saul's comb-over was the first thing Creator/BobOdenkirk suggested when he was invited to play the character. Marie's profession (X-ray technician) was suggested by Betsy Brandt because she wanted her to look respectable in a LabcoatOfScienceAndMedicine but not actually be a doctor. And Jesse shaving his head at the beginning of season 4 was Creator/AaronPaul's idea. Tuco's love of cooking was inspired by the fact that Creator/RaymondCruz is quite the passionate amateur chef. Creator/VinceGilligan always praises the collaborative nature of the series, so there's likely even more instances.
