''Cult of Personality'' is a ''VideoGame/TeamFortress2'' {{Machinima}} created by [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUc_E0EITNf0dYWSJJSwuhA LoneWolfHBS]] using Source Filmmaker. It is a series that serves as a sequel to his previous video ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_071pxW4nU&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PL7wO-DqPSsWLJw_L37ESVpwXUoTEC48M2 FYI I am a Robot]]''. After a failure involving an intelligence-capturing mission, a BLU Medic from Turbine was fired and forced to return back to his hospital. After finding more outcasts abandoned by RED and BLU, the Medic swore to destroy both organizations, and founded a [[TitleDrop cult of personality]], the [[Wrestling/NewWorldOrder oWn]] [[FunWithAcronyms (Our World Now)]]. Their primary objective is to invade as many RED and BLU territories as possible and free the mercenaries of both teams from the stalemate war, either through forceful assimilation or being kept prisoner. As the o.W.n invades, taking out their enemies and recruiting more RED and BLU mercenaries to their cause, a few remaining mercenaries banded together to stop the tide crashing down on them.

The series is on going with five chapters as of this writing with two shorts and a comic adding more depth to the story. The series has its own fan base in the Steam Community [[http://steamcommunity.com/groups/CoPOfficial here]], as well as an in-game mod by Lone Wolf for players to play as oWn (taking place of the BLU team) and a mix of RED and BLU (as the RED replacement).

* ShoutOut: Lone Wolf is a wrestling fan, and it reflects. oWn is based on the NewWorldOrder and its lieutenants have personality traits based on some of the members. For example, the oWn Scout has some of ScottHall's "Bad Guy" traits and the oWn Heavy and Soldier both being in the CoDragons role like KevinNash and Scott Hall did.

Added DiffLines:

* {{Expy}}: [[WordOfGod The Deviantart character bios]] state that Cult of Personality was modified from an original story Lone Wolf was making, tweaked to better fit with the [=TF2=] setting. Every major and secondary character is partly based on one of that story's characters.

The series is on going with five chapters as of this writing with two shorts and a comic adding more depth to the story. The series has its own fan base in the Steam Community [[http://steamcommunity.com/groups/oWnOfficial here]], as well as an in-game mod by Lone Wolf for players to play as oWn (taking place of the BLU team) and a mix of RED and BLU (as the RED replacement).

* AscendedExtra: Originally a random oWn character created solely as a parody of RandyOrton's [=TitanTron=] video, the oWn Demoknight has since been promoted into the main series and has since then been a consistent character in the chapters and trailers.

* StraightGay: Almost no one would've guessed that the o.W.n Fem!Scout is a lesbian until she started checking out and then showing interest in the RED Turbine Fem!Scout upon meeting each other the first time in Chapter 4, though the feeling isn't mutual. Could also be considered ScrewYourself since the Fem!Scout may essentially be the [[PaletteSwap same person]]. And this is after she openly rejected the oWn Scout and the ambiguously male Pyro's advances, although the latter is probably due to the Pyro trying to give her an arm as a gift. Otherwise, she behaves pretty much the same as any other Scouts.

* AgonyBeam: The oWn Medic's modified medigun is capable of causing a lot of pain in his victims. [[spoiler:His glove mounted model can be a full on DeathRay]].

* ArtificialLimb: The oWn Engineer, who's arm couldn't be restored by mediguns, is given a robotic replacement(the Gunslinger) by the oWn Medic before they formed the organization.

* BenevolentBoss: One of the reasons the oWn Medic's forces have grown so greatly is that he genuinely cares about his recruits. He doesn't punish failures too harshly and is noticeably horrified when any of his followers are killed in front of him. He is also open to criticisms and loves to hang out with his lieutenants while off-duty. He also tries to appear friendly to his enemies after [[DefeatMeansFriendship defeating them in combat]] before extending an invitation to join oWn.
* BerserkButton: If you're going to assassinate the oWn Medic, make sure you succeed because if you don't, he isn't going to let you just get away with the attempt. He does not like to be killed in such a manner. The BLU Fem!Medic from Granary learned this the hard way. After getting captured, she was subsequently tortured by the oWn Medic personally, who made absolutely no attempts to recruit her despite recruitment being their primary way of assimilating other mercenaries into their group.
* BigBad: The oWn Medic. He was the one who created oWn and was the one responsible for managing and personally overseeing the invasions of RED and BLU's numerous territories. The invasions and how the RED and BLU mercenaries react to it is the main driving conflict in the series.

* FlawedPrototype: The robot Soldier from ''[=FYI=] I am a Robot'', who speaks more than he shoots and loves to remind his enemies that [[CaptainObvious he is a robot]]. He would normally be so busy talking that he gets shut down forcefully before he could finish his sentence.

* RebelLeader: A villainous example in the form of the oWn Medic. He formed oWn in an attempt to rebel against BLU, the company he used to work with and their rival, RED. He does so by assimilating mercenaries from both companies through propaganda or by [[DefeatMeansFriendship defeating them in combat]], proving his superiority. With a sizable enough army, he invaded numerous territories of RED and BLU, taking in defects from both companies.

* TakingTheBullet: The RED Engineer from Turbine took a Sniper shot to protect his Pyro buddy. This ends up permenatly costing him his arm and his job with RED.

* EvilCostumeSwitch: Anyone who joins oWn gets [[PaintItBlack a black uniform]], but the lieutenants and the leader himself have more unique outfits after defecting, namely more elaborate hats and clothing.

* FamilyUnfriendlyDeath: During the invasion of Turbine, the RED Fem!Scout is ''ripped in half'' by an oWn Heavy with his bare hands. Most of the [[GoryDiscretionShot gore was not shown]] however, although her screams and the sounds of her body ripping apart (which silenced her screams) can be heard. A spew of blood can be briefly seen however.

* TheLadysFavour: A platonic example. After surviving the robot invasion in ''FYI I am a Robot'', the RED Turbine Fem!Scout gave the Turbine BLU Medic a thorny rose as a sign of truce despite them being on opposite teams. The BLU Medic rejected it but as revealed in the sequel, he does have it, though the reasons for this hasn't been explored.
** After he's fired, he leaves the rose behind, making it the Fem!Scout's TragicKeepsake. She kept it ever since to remember her long lost friend.

* ManBehindTheMan: [[WordOfGod Since this takes place before Mann Vs. Machine]], the then unknown Gray Mann is supporting oWn with funding, weapons, and prototypes of his robots in exchange for combat footage. Said combat footage would then be used to improve the AI of the robots and make them more closer to the mercenaries in terms of combat expertise and personality.

* SealedEvilInACan: Shades of this are being shown in the form of the Legion, a group who are supposedly stuck inside an Eyelander discovered by the oWn Fem!Scout. The moment she picked it up, a horrifying vision of a bunch of ghostly mercenaries haunted her. After it ended, one of her robot bodyguards went berserk and tried to kill her, apparently being [[DemonicPossession possessed]] by whatever was released from the Eyelander. Later, after it was handed over to an oWn Demoknight as a reward for taking over Double Cross, he started hearing voices from it and was, at one point, almost [[CharmPerson charmed]] by a ghostly mercenary within into attacking his former fellows from Turbine.

** During Chapter 5, a BLU Heavy was kept as a prisoner of war by oWn, held at gunpoint by an oWn Soldier. When a nearby oWn Engineer blew up a robot Demoman's grenades, a bucket, flung by the explosion, landed on the Heavy's head, causing him to panic and knock out his captor by pushing him into the robot. The impact caused it to play a [[http://freemusicarchive.org/music/The_Freak_Fandango_Orchestra/Tales_Of_A_Dead_Fish/Requiem_for_a_Fish_1403 song]], which was apparently catchy enough for the Heavy to start dancing to it. The dance and the bucket on the Heavy's head is taken directly from the 2013 Saxxy Award Comedy Winner's entry: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_I0Jb40Bwy4 Disruption]].
* SmallNameBigEgo: The oWn Scout is very full of himself, but has none of the skill to back up his boasting. He gets killed very often, enough that the RED and BLU mercenaries [[ButtMonkey don't really see him as much of a threat]] and simply wants him to shut up. A RED Sniper even wondered how many times he died and that he was getting impressed by it.
