* TheChick: Mumbles might be a girl, but Campster's reaction to their Slender special begs to differ.
** Its a recurring joke that Mumbles, despite being the only girl on the show, is actually the least girly of the Spoiler Warning crew. For example, most of the guys on the show admit to spending a lot of time fussing over their character's outfits when that's an option.

* RealityIsUnrealistic: Shamus mentions at one point that he doesn't judge accents anymore because he once thought that [[VideoGame/DragonAgeOrigins Lelianna's]] French accent was badly done only to learn that Corinne Kempa is french and that was her real accent.

* NamesTheSame: Used InUniverse in the ''Until Dawn'' season, as the game already have characters called Josh and Chris. This gets repeatedly mocked and lampshaded by the crew, especially as Chris (the character) becomes the ButtMonkey of most of their jokes.

* KillEmAll: The group's "canonical" ending of ''Fallout 3''. The ''New Vegas'' ending was much the same way, with only the Fiends and [[GoddamnedBats Powder Gangers]] thriving (barring characters and factions they never met). Their ''Mass Effect 3'' ending was much the same way.
** Defied in ''Human Revolutions'' where Josh outright refused to pick the 'everyone dies' ending because it made no sense (well, marginally less sense than the other ending options) even as the others were egging him on to do so.
** Subverted in ''Until Dawn'', where despite the game's AnyoneCanDie tagline and the entire crew starting out disliking the main characters, only [[spoiler:The Stranger (who always dies) and a few Wendigo (who always die)]] are dead at the end.

** {{Idiot Plot}}s and Railroading pisses them the hell off, with Creator/{{Bethesda}} earning a special place for ''Fallout 3''.

* DistractedByTheSexy: Both Rutskarn and Mumbles never fail to be distracted by [[AbsoluteCleavage Samara's fashion choices]] throughout ''VideoGame/MassEffect2''.

** Taken UpToEleven in the ''VideoGame/{{Scribblenauts}}'' episode, pretty much everything Josh does is completely overcomplicated, abstract, or pointless.

* NiceHat: Reginald Cuftbert's bonnet, the hat of choice for both ''Fallout'' playthroughs. He later replaces it with [[IAmAHumanitarian Mortimer's]] Top hat. For a while, each season after ''Fallout 3'' has a drawn "cover image" depicting the game's protagonist wearing a bonnet, and Josh/Reginald wears one in the Spoiler Warning cover.

* NeoclassicalPunkZydecoRockabilly: Mumbles asserts during ''Videogame/AlanWake'' that any genre of music you can name has already been done. Including Chris' suggestion of Neoclassical Reggae Punk.
