* In ''Anime/NerimaDaikonBrothers'', Ichiro and Yukika are both a little too into the [[PandaingToTheAudience panda, Pandaikon]]. And pretty much everyone wants Ichiro, and I mean EVERYONE, human and animal alike.

* ''Manga/DragonBall'':
** Oolong kidnapping girls from a village and interest over Bulma.

* ''Manga/PokemonAdventures'' rather infamously implies one in one chapter in the first arc when Red picks up a newspaper and reads an article about a girl having a surprising ordeal with her Tentacool in the bath. The girl makes cameos in later arcs always seen taking bathing with her Tentacool.

* ''LightNovel/OrcHeroStory'':
** This is Bash' goal in a nutshell, since female orcs don't exist and he must find a wife from another race.

* In ''LightNovel/ACertainMagicalIndex'', Touma Kamijou's UnwantedHarem includes Hyouka Kazakiri, an artificial angel, and Othinus, a goddess.

* ''LightNovel/{{Durarara}}'': Celty and Shinra, the former being a Dullahan (a headless Irish death fae) and the latter being a somewhat eccentric human scientist.

* Played with in ''LightNovel/{{Inukami}}'' anime: During a LovePotion incident, Keita thinks about getting some interspecies loving with Youko and/or five of the other girls, until he realizes his kids would be half-dog, and is promptly disturbed about the whole thing. Kinda odd though since he knew at the time that Youko is a ''[[AsianFoxSpirit kitsune]]''. [[spoiler:The end of the Manga definately implies that a wedding is in the future for Keita and Youko.]]

* Arguably, this is the entire premise of ''LightNovel/{{Kanokon}}'' (beside extreme {{fanservice}}, with pinches of [[LoliconAndShotacon shotacon]].)

* ''LightNovel/KyoKaraMaoh'' has Demon/Human relations. Although, for most of the series it is [[FantasticRacism heavily frowned upon]], to the point where Half-Demon Half-Human families have to live in their own villages.

* ''LightNovel/ReZero'':

* Both examples are more in the ShipTease category than actual romances, but the two biggest cases in the ''LightNovel/{{Slayers}}'' series are Princess Amelia and Zelgadis (a regular human and a [[CursedWithAwesome chimera]]) and Xellos and Filia (a [[AlwaysChaoticEvil demonic priest]] and a [[OurDragonsAreDifferent golden dragon]]). Zelgadis and Amelia's case is subverted in that the former was once a human himself.

* ''Anime/SailorMoon [=SuperS=]'' had [=ChibiUsa=] fall in love with a winged unicorn named Pegasus. Partially subverted in that he was really after her mind, not body, as the theme of that story arc was basically pure dreams, which [=ChibiUsa=] would have as a child. Though many people were disturbed not by the implied bestiality issues (his true form was human after all) as much as the fact that [=ChibiUsa=] was physically only about 8-10 years old at the time, while Pegasus'[=/=]Helios' age is never disclosed in the TheNineties anime, (some dubs actually gave him a voice of a grown-up man). This is ''somewhat'' less of an issue in the [[Manga/SailorMoon manga]]: WordOfGod stated that Helios is supposed to look like a seventh-grader (around 13-14 years old), and [=ChibiUsa=] herself eventually achieves a more grown-up form of Princess Lady Serenity (if temporarily). Additionally, in the manga she is [[ReallySevenHundredYearsOld Really About Nine Hundred And Two Years Old]] by the time she meets Pegasus.
** There's also whatever the heck Peruru is in the [=SuperS=] movie and Chibiusa again. At the end she kisses him too. Pegasus has some competition.
** ''Manga/SailorMoon'' also had one of these in the side story ''The Lover of Princess Kaguya'' (basis for ''Sailor Moon S'' NonSerialMovie), where Luna falls in love with a human astronaut Kakeru. This one is ''also'' subverted: not only Luna's crush on Kakeru is one-sided (he is in love with his co-worker Himeko), but Luna later temporarily achieves human form, and in the manga she is later said to be an alien, so this form might have been natural for her.
** There's also an implication of Artemis having a crush on Minako. At one point in the manga he is actually peeping on her while she's in the bathroom (which ends badly for him after [[KidFromTheFuture Diana]] innocently reports the incident to [[{{Tsundere}} Luna]]). In the anime, Artemis gives Minako a bouquet of roses in one episode to cheer her up. Again, in the manga he is an alien with a human form, but this isn't revealed until later on -- in fact, the cats being aliens from Mau was pretty much a DoingInTheWizard moment as they were never hinted to be anything more than magical cats (in the ''Sailor V'' manga Artemis is mostly treated as a housecat who ''just happens'' to be able to talk).
** One chapter of ''Manga/CodeNameSailorV'' also had Artemis crushing on a small ''dog'' who happened to be named Luna-chan. While he probably mistook her for ''that'' Luna at first (the dog actually looks a lot like a cat, only giving herself away by barking), he still considers "marrying" her after the reveal until [[spoiler:the dog turns out to be a disguised villain. A ''male'' villain.]]
** In the ''Super S'' anime Artemis is implied again to feel like this... and mixing it with HotForPreacher: his "target" is a beautiful Catholic nun named Sister Maria. Luna herself teases him a LOT for it, and thinks it's kinda cute. [[spoiler:That's regarded moot soon, though, since Sister Maria becomes the victim of the week due to Tiger Eye kidnapping and [[MindRape mind-raping her]], so the Senshi have to save her. It turns out that Artemis was just daydreaming about how he wanted cats to get married in a church, anyway.]]

* In ''Manga/TheWorldGodOnlyKnows'', among [[ChickMagnet Keima]]'s many admirers, there's Haqua, a [[OurDemonsAreDifferent demon]], and Diana, a [[OurGodsAreDifferent goddess]] [[SharingABody residing inside the body of Keima's shy neighbor]]. However, Keima doesn't even acknowledge their feelings because he only wants to play {{Dating Sim}}s [[spoiler:and he ultimately chooses an ordinary human girl as his love interest]].

* Subaru from ''LightNovel/ReZero'' who is a human falls in love with the half-elf Emilia. In the middle of the second season they have their first kiss.
** Rem is an Oni and she is also in love with Subaru.

* ''Manga/TheSevenDeadlySins'' has Ban, a human and Elaine, fairy. They met when Ban came looking for the FountainOfYouth, which Elaine was guarding. Ban decided against drinking it after finding out doing so would destroy the Fairy Forest, but after the forest was attacked by a Red Demon and both Ban and Elaine are fatally wounded, Elaine gives him water from the fountain ([[IntimateHealing via a kiss]]) and after killing the demon and watching Elaine die, he tries very hard to resurrect her. Later on, she is brought back to life.

* Chihiro and Haku in ''Anime/SpiritedAway'', human and [[spoiler:river spirit]].

* ''Manga/TokyoMewMew'' has quite a few. The three main aliens supposedly fall in love with three of the main heroines (Kish/Quiche for Ichigo, Tart for Pudding, and Pai for Lettuce). However, none of the romances really get off the ground and are instead left for fandom.
** [[spoiler:Aoyama and Ichigo may technically be this. Aoyama is the human form of Deep Blue, the BigBad of the series. While Deep Blue is defeated in the end, it's a little unclear if Aoyama is human or alien.]]

* ''Manga/UruseiYatsura'' primarily follows human Ataru Moroboshi's relationship with the alien Lum, who falls madly in love with him and is determined to keep them a couple no matter what.

** And later [[spoiler:Akira is wanted by ''at least'' three humans - the sweet and ''[[BreakThecutie very]]'' unlucky [[HotForStudent teacher]] Akiko Aoshika, the VERY CuteAndPsycho Ryuuko Kounuma, and Ryuuko's '''even crazier'' boyfriend, [[DepravedBisexual Haguro Dou]].]]

* ''Manga/TheWorldGodOnlyKnows'' has the possible pairings between Keima and [[OurDemonsAreDifferent Elsie, Haqua]], and [[OurGodsAreDifferent Diana]].

* ''Anime/ArmitageIII'' presents [[{{squick}} an unsettling example]], that has Ross (a human) get together with Armitage, [[RidiculouslyHumanRobot who's a third.]] Which wouldn't be so bad, if he wasn't almost twice her height, [[HugeGuyTinyGirl making her look like a schoolgirl next to him]], along with the fact she looks like a 13-14 year old in hot pants. And by the end? [[spoiler: She's pregnant with his child]]!

* In ''Anime/GhostSweeperMikami'' Yokoshima goes after anything with a good looking female form. ghosts, robots, demons, dragon gods, wolves, foxes, etc.

* ''Manga/FullmetalAlchemist'' has [[spoiler:Fuhrer King Bradley]] (Homunculus) and his wife (human), and it is stated that he loves his wife and sees that as the only choice he ever really had in his life (although in [[Anime/FullmetalAlchemist the 2003 anime version]] where he is Pride, it's left ambiguous as to whether it is a front or not).

** It's also actively encouraged by the elves, to replenish their population after the war. Most of these pairings are female elves with males of other races, because lots of male elves were killed by the [[HornyDevils succubi]] during the war.

* Lawrence and Holo in ''LightNovel/SpiceAndWolf'': a human and a [[TheTrickster trickster]] giant wolf who takes the form of a young girl ([[LittleBitBeastly + tails/ears]]) for almost all of the time. In volume 3 of the light novels/the first arc of the second season, after suffering a great psychological blow, she [[spoiler:offers herself to Lawrence, thinking a child they could have together would keep her from being so lonely]]. Lawrence gets to thinking about this as well, and asks Deanna whether there is any record of human-deity couples. Apparently, there have been many. [[spoiler:At the end of the series, the two are together and expecting a child after all.]]

** It turns out that [[spoiler: the ''Leonhart'' himself is a HalfHumanHybrid and product of one of these, meaning that in certain nights he loses his monstrous features and temporarily becomes a handsome young man.]] Sariphi finds out about it, but she keeps the secret to herself.

** The human girl Sariphi has been raised since birth to be the unnamed Demon King's HumanSacrifice, like 99 girls before her, and she's clearly aware of it. When she meets him, however, she finds out that not only he's secretly spared all of the maidens, but is [[SourOutsideSadInside a deeply sad person under his monstrous facade]]. The King is impressed by [[SilkHidingSteel Sariphi's quiet lack of fear]], so rather than sacrificing her or letting her go, he makes her his HotConsort instead.
** It turns out that [[spoiler: the ''King'' himself is a HalfHumanHybrid and product of one of these, meaning that in certain nights he loses his monstrous features and temporarily becomes a handsome young man.]] Sariphi finds out about it, but she keeps the secret to herself.

* Crops up in ''Toys/{{Jewelpet}}'', in various forms. There are different species of Jewelpets in love with each other (the current OfficialCouple on this front is the mascot hare and a lion, and before that, the hare liked a cat), and then there are Jewelpets and humans (''Anime/JewelpetSunshine'''s main plot is a LoveTriangle between two humans and the aforementioned hare; also, a Jewelpet panda gets most of his Valentine's chocolate from human girls and no one blinks at this).

* Happens all over ''Manga/HyperPolice'': Natsuki is the product of this [[spoiler:(Human/Goddess)]], Sakura ({{kitsune}}) has children with the timelost (human) samurai. Batanen (werewolf) has a huge crush on Natsuki ([[HalfHumanHybrids Half-human]] CatGirl), and Tommy (werewolf) has 19 (!) children with Poe (Human) in the manga.

* The premise of the series ''Manga/KitsuneNoYomeiri'' is basically that of a modern romcom version of the traditional kitsune/human relationship from Japanese folklore.

* ''Manga/OtomeYoukaiZakuro'' deals with the relationships between a trio of human males and half-{{Kitsune}} females in an interspecies military unit in Meiji-era Japan.

* ''Manga/TamamoChansAFox'': Regardless of their being immortal bipedal kitsune's, any boys that see past their illusions have no issue declaring how attractive the three sisters are. Especially Tenko when she shows up to be a teacher in Tamamo's school. A boy even tells her up-front that he is in love with her and asks for a relationship with her. Tenko is flattered by that declaration but turns it down due to them being a teacher and a student... for now.

* ''Franchise/{{Digimon}}'' is a mostly NoHuggingNoKissing anime, with LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters, only three {{Official Couple}}s ([[FanonDiscontinuity not counting]] the GainaxEnding to ''Anime/DigimonAdventure02''), and a lot of ShipTease. Since the Digimon look like individual species like ''Anime/PokemonTheSeries'', the teased Digimon/Digimon couples ([[Anime/DigimonAdventure02 Veemon and Gatomon]], [[Anime/DigimonTamers Impmon and Renamon]], and [[Anime/DigimonFusion Beelzemon and Mervamon]]) would seem this if they ever became canon, though they are all data with just different forms so they are all technically the same species.

** One episode of the Sinnoh saga involved a scientist trying to invoke this between his Quagsire and Magmemite, by inventing a machine that would make Electric types and Water types fall in love, [[EveryoneIsBi no mat]][[FoeYay ter what]]. This caused some difficulty for Ash and Dawn when Pikachu and Piplup were in the radius of it, as they gained a nearly unbreakable grip on each other, that they would just reinitiate if pulled apart.
