Added DiffLines:

** It's particularly nice because some of the kids who don't normally get along such as Mary and Toby or even Jim and Steve have a genuine blast with each other.
** Shannon's heartfelt speech on the subject.
--> Shannon: I don't know why we have to be so mean to each other. You know, everyone goes through stuff. So we act out. Only reason we're here is... 'cause we weren't smart enough to get away with it. We should be nicer. I mean... (scoffs) who are we kidding? None of us are perfect. The least we can do is to be honest for once. Maybe then we can help each other out, you know? Make this world tolerable.

** Steve brings "Flip" the flour baby they were assigned to take care of to the museum, not because he cared about the assignment and not because he thought flour was something they might need. In his own words, he knew that Eli cared about the assignment and he decided to shoulder the load.
** Steve calls Eli "Pepper-buddy".

%%* Seeing the students having fun with the task of raising a pretend baby in the form of a bag of flour. Particularly Toby and Darcy, who take multiple selfies with theirs which are seen in the credits. The two of them bond a bit more in general throughout the episode. Similarly, Jim and Claire are very enthusiastic about doing the assignment together and cheerfully joke about the "baby" having each other's eyes and nose.
* Though it's also a bit of a TearJerker, Claire, Jim and Toby having an open and honest conversation with each other about their experiences with their parents.
** Toby expresses that when good things happen, he likes to think it's his parents watching over him, something which comes back at the end of the episode when his and Darcy's flour baby turns up fine. Though the next episode reveals how the climax of this one really worked out, Toby never learns of it and warmly continues to hold this belief.
* Blinky, AAARRRGGHH and Draal having fun playing some version of Dungeons and Dragons together certainly counts.
* Claire telling Darcy that Toby was making sure their flour baby was safe, to cover for him carrying it off into the museum and redeeming him in Darcy's eyes. Toby and Darcy can be seen holding hands at the end of the episode, after they're no longer partners on the assignment.

* Just how happy Jim is to be free of the Darklands and his life back to normal. He gushes over how much he loves homework, of all things. He even admits to missing Steve.
* It's a short moment, but Vendel continues to look out for Jim and his friends, pointing out his IKnowYouKnowIKnow assurance that they have everything handled and protecting them from the Tribunal.
* When everyone briefly thinks Gnome Chomski is dead, they're all heartbroken.
** Later, though they're a bit weirded out by it, everyone is nonetheless delighted for Chompski after he successfully proposes to his doll girlfriend.

* The main conflict of the episode is caused by Jim's amulet malfunctioning on the day he's eager to make a good impression on Claire's parents. He believes that whether or not he'll be considered Claire's boyfriend hinges on things going well but at the end of the episode after things have gone a bit wrong Claire reveals she considered Jim her boyfriend all along. She kisses him on his way out and both of them look positively starstruck.

* Jim bonds with Nomura while the two are imprisoned together. The latter opens up about how she was inspired by opera and relates the story of Peer Gynt that she was so fond of to Jim. * When , Not!Enrique can be seen preparing to shield a gnome from a golem's foot with his body.

to:

* This episode has a lot of moments between Claire and Not!Enrique, showing how far the two have come and how much they've grown to care about each other. Not!Enrique calls her "sis" early in the episode and the emotion Claire uses later on to power her staff and save both their lives from drowning is fear. Specifically, fear that she had lost Not!Enrique.

Added DiffLines:

* Toby offers to dance with Claire to cheer her up. She was happy to accept until he noticed the school mole mascot he's been infatuated with all season, at which point Claire encourages him to dance with her instead.
* Toby blurts out a LoveConfession to the mascot, who turns out to be . She admits that she wanted Toby to ask her to the dance, finds him cute and lets him be her Duke, something he'd been eager to be throughout the Spring Fling. This was partially motivated by Toby's confession, since part of the reason she's a mascot is that she can let go about worrying about popularity and just be herself, something she wanted Toby to respect.

Added DiffLines:

* Though Claire's friends initially think she's blown them off to have her own party, they patch things up (albeit under a mistaken understanding of the situation) and the three girls happily hug it out. Claire then shows she's still got their backs by taking the fall from the "police" for them while they slip out.
* Not!Enrique pretending to be the police and chasing off the partygoers for Claire. The last thing he was seen doing before deciding to do this was looking at a picture of Claire with Enrique, likely reminding him of what a hard time she's had of things. The two patch up their earlier argument and acknowledge that they're becoming like family.

* Jim had been holding off on using his one remaining shot of the Kairosect until what he could be sure was the best time, but when Claire is about to be hit by a truck, he doesn't hesitate.
** While time is stopped, he's a little awkward but very gentle as he carries her to safety and then takes a moment to privately admit how much he likes her.
--> Jim: Why did you let me drag you into this? ...But how could I ever say "no" to those eyes?

* Draal working with Jim in the games, being supportive and friendly to him throughout.
--> Draal: You take the small one. I'll handle the big guy.
* AAARRRGGHH initially choses to leave, telling the others to pass on the message to Toby that the two of them are family. In the end, he decides to stay and tells Toby himself.

to:

* Though Jim blows it, Claire tells him she was asked to the school spring dance by another boy and she turned him down because she was "waiting for someone else to ask."

* Jim admits that he hasn't asked Claire to the dance because he's insecure about ICantDance his dancing. Blinky inspires him by telling him a piece of advice he read in a phone book: "Dance like nobody's watching and love like it's never going to hurt."
* Claire then ends up asking Jim to the dance, which Jim gleefully accepts and the two share an AlmostKiss.

** From this episode onwards, they refer to each other as "Wingman".

to:

* The very fact that Jim was so nervous about getting his kiss with Claire right and the fact that the feeling was mutual.

* Aarghaumont

Added DiffLines:

* Blinky allows Claire to see the remains of the bridge and have a heartfelt moment where she talks to her brother, promising Enrique that she'll find him. She thanks Blinky for this afterwards.

* Not!Enrique actually gets one after he demands that Claire get him a burger. Claire stops to look at a picture of her little brother and starts crying. Not!Enrique quickly backpedals, first easing up on his demand and then using a technique to show Claire a glimpse of the real Enrique and prove he's alright. He's let go of his food order by this point but Claire gratefully offers to get him whatever he wants.

* Though it's still a villainous moment, Strickler is clearly hesitant to put the charm in Barbara's tea and continues to look guilty after he does so. Even as he makes an "enchanting" quip about the tea, his voice sounds quite shaky. A big part of him clearly didn't want to do this.

* Jim, Toby, Eli, and Steve have to undo their teachers' possession by Gumm-Gumm ashes by appealing to their humanity. Of note is when Steve has to save Coach Lawrence, who, in his corrupted form, blurted out to the other students that he is dating Steve's mom. Steve admits that while he isn't crazy about this, Coach has actually stayed compared to his actual father.

** This is coupled with the final lines of the show being a speech Jim previously made about becoming a hero, spoken by Anton Yelchin. It’s then followed by the last text being “This series is dedicated to Anton Yelchin”.

* The Trollhunters and family all helping Jim [[spoiler:adjust to his new hybrid form.
