* Treves' relationship with John is heartwarming in general. He first takes interest in him as a doctor but develops genuine attachment to him as a friend after getting to know him better.
** He invites John to his home for tea where he is treated like a human being and welcome guest. John is delighted & flattered by the gestures, happily looks at photos of Treves' family, as well as sharing a picture of his mother with them.
** After John is abducted, Treves is concerned, then very livid when he learns what Jim has done - even going so far as to physically pummel the man, thinking he's working with Bytes.
