** Karala returns the favor where she and Gije rescue Bes and Cosmo who are imprisoned for not following the Earth military's orders to surrender Ideon and the Solo Ship to them. She also gets to meet Bes' parents who just visited their son's cell and outright told him that they're disowning him for bringing shame to the family. Despite that, Karala seems to think that they're still good people and tells them to leave while she takes care of Bes.

Luckily, Bes is there to save her. By the end of the episode, Karala cries that her people discarded her for siding with the humans. Bes comforts her and tells her if it's all right for him to stay with him by her side. Then, Karala embraces him. Do note that Bes is the first human who openly accepts her who she is and not as an alien unlike what the rest of the crew see about her. In fact, his first meeting with her is asking her for a date despite not knowing her.
