* In Episode 216 "The Targeted Shukaku", Gaara kept noticing Matsuri's hesitation and trauma-induced distress when she was dealing with weapons. After asking her what was wrong, Matsuri confided that her fear of using weapons stem from witnessing the slaughter of her parents by them. Gaara attempted to console her by explaining that weapons can also be used to defend those close to you. While it took Matsuri a while to understand Gaara's message within the next few episodes, mostly due to the latter not being the best communicator. In the end, it ultimately helped her to overcome her fear. Gaara has clearly gone a long way from being a murderous sociopath who would kill somebody just for looking at him the wrong way.

* Sasuke rebukes Itachi's habit of always being "later, later" when it comes to him and that it was all lies anyway. Itachi acknowledges that, but says since one only keeps their nature until they've died, and he's already dead, he'll keep his word and talk with Sasuke after they beat Kabuto. Weirdly both heartwarming and tearjerking, since it reminds you that after Itachi stops Edo Tensei, he'll die too.
** The fact that Sasuke and Itachi are working together and fighting as brothers against Kabuto is quite heartwarming as well, as it goes to show that Sasuke still cares for Itachi well after Itachi's death.
*** A meta example: Both the chapter and the episode are called "Brotherly Time". Trust Itachi and Sasuke to consider battle a bonding moment -- and trust Kishimoto to make it work.
* [[MasterOfIllusion Itachi]] shows sympathy to [[SmugSnake Kabuto]] of all people. He uses [[{{Mindscrew}} Izanami]] on Kabuto to make him realize he's on the wrong way and that, unlike Itachi, he should change this before his death.
** There's also the scene with the two low ranking ninjas. One of them offers the other to come with him to [[OrphanageOfLove the orphanage he came from]] since [[YouCantGoHomeAgain he doesn't have a place to go back to]]. He also hopes that his brother will finally come home. His brother's name? Kabuto.

* We learn that, as Gaara is the youngest Kage attending the summit, it falls onto Temari and Kankuro to make sure that the others take him seriously...and ho boy, Kankuro does take that part of his job seriously. He seems to be about ready to lash out verbally "and" physically at the Tsushikage for blowing Gaara off due to being merely 17.
* Meis interactions with both Chojuro and Ao. While we know that Chojuro has a huge crush on Mei, her own behavior towards him can simply be seen as being AMotherToHerMen, as she tries to give him confidence in his skills and worries wether he has a fever. And while Ao, mistakenly, often pisses her off, she still does not let him stay trapped in Fuu's doll.

* In "Shippuden* Episode 286, A is totally in AFatherToHisMen mode. He jumps at the chance of finding Tsunade, so she can help his subordinate Karai. He is even more than willing to force her into it. While Karai is not all that pleased, since the respective villages of A and Tsunade are enemies at the time, and just worries that A might lose his pride as the Raikage, A quickly shuts that argument down and asks what pride there could be in letting Karai die and how he could ever call himself Raikage, if he were to do this. Then he orders Karai not to die and tells him that he wants to have him by his side, when they return home. This is perfectly capped off by how moved the A's second subordinate Amai is at the words of his boss.

** It is evident that Minato recognized the hardships that Naruto had to endure as the lone host of the Nine-Tails, as he did not resist when Naruto [[CallingTheOldManOut punches him in the stomach and confronts him about it]]. He takes full responsibility for his shortcomings as a father and apologizes for the pain he has caused Naruto. Despite this, he admits that he may have lost the right to be called Naruto's father. It is rare for a parent to admit to their mistakes and take ownership of the impact on their child. Fortunately, Naruto chooses to forgive him.

* Shippuden opening 4 "CLOSER", is a mix of this and TearJerker; it's a TearJerker because it features Asuma's final fight and even the sequence of Shikamaru desperately reaching out for him... and it's Heartwarming because it finishes with Naruto running past his friends, and leaping into the sky with a look of euphoria. The lyrics speak for themselves:

* Despite Naruto's less-than-ideal behavior over there matter, his heartfelt plea for Sasuke's life seems to have made an impact on the Raikage. Even though the decision to not spare Sasuke may not have been immediately apparent, the fact that he glazes back at the young grieving Leaf ninja as he leaves suggests that Naruto's words touched him somehow.

What struck this troper is the smile he gave Obito while placing his hand on his chest. The kid's most definitely a saint and have taken several levels in kindness to so casually do the deed, considering that he was at his limit when he forgave Nagato for committing the same crime on a lesser scale.
