!!Character Storylines
* In Luminous' storyline, he is blasted 100 years into the future, where he is found and nursed back to health by Lania. [[https://maplestory.fandom.com/wiki/Luminous?file=Luminous_tut2.png His little cutscene photo of him and Lania doing things together]] is possibly the happiest that he's ever portrayed in the game.

* In the Cygnus Knight storyline, the Resistance refuses to provide assistance to the player and the children shun, boo, and harass any Cygnus Knight that approaches (like 10 Boogies) due to a failed promise in the past. However, after the player saves the local children (one of them being Ulrika Claudine's little sister) they agree to at least share intel. When the player bites off more than they can chew by getting themselves surrounded by the Black Wings, the Resistance swoops in to bail them out. While the Resistance claims that they were simply fulfilling their end of the bargain, this was the first time the Resistance and the Cygnus Knights put aside their differences in recent time.

* In the Heroes of Maple blockbuster:
** Some of the heroes had their doubts about Evan as Freud’s successor, but after he proves himself, they all declare their loyalty to him and acknowledge him as their leader. It’s especially potent as Evan has many doubts about being worthy as his successor.
** Freud’s spirit acknowledging Shade as the sixth hero makes Shade so happy to be remembered he cries TearsOfJoy.

* As tearjerking as Shade’s storyline is, it also has many heartwarming moments.
** Moonbeam’s snarky attitude towards Shade doesn’t prevent her from teaching him how to use his newfound fox spirit powers.
** Though the fox villagers are freaked out by Shade’s human appearance, many also express concern at his lack of claws and teeth and wonders if he’s getting enough to eat. Eventually, Shade gets a gift from them to help him fit in better - fox ears and a tail.
** Moonbeam is disgruntled at how the other Foxies treat Shade and goes off by herself to hunt raw liver, considered a delicacy in their village. This unfortunately leads to her getting kidnapped and Shade having to rescue her, which taxes him so much physically he collapses. Distraught, Moonbeam begs the fox god to help Shade and offers her spirit to him to restore him to health. When Shade wakes up, she refuses him when he tries to return it and confirms their bond as ‘spiritmates’.
** Though Moonbeam is sad about Shade leaving for Maple World, she’s confident that he will return due to their bond, which she says is closer than even best friends.

* In the Strange Stories event, the story of Edward, the Snow Child, has four endings. Three of them are bad, while the last is the only good one, as [[spoiler:Edward is finally accepted by the villagers because he has saved them after transforming into a yeti, the very thing that made them fear him. * To receive the blessing from the Goddess of Maple World necessary to make the 5th job advancement, one simply has to answer a question; "What is it that you cherish most in this world?" Every class can give two possible responses to this question that is personalized to them and a large amount of them qualify as heartwarming, often including the option to declare one person in specific and even more so if it's a supporting character who can react and engage a dialogue, like Evan declaring Mir, Demon declaring Mastema, or even Zero declaring each other.
-->'''Goddess of Maple World''': I see. Is protecting each other the most precious thing?\\
'''Alpha''': Of course. We'd be half as strong without each other. Isn't that right Beta?\\
'''Beta''': I want to protect Alpha because you're precious to me, not because of our strength.\\
'''Alpha''': W-what's with you all of a sudden? You're giving me shivers.
