!!Season 1

folder:
* Jim Gordon comforting Bruce Wayne after his parents are killed.
* Alfred giving a hug to Bruce as soon as he gets on the scene.
* Selina at Thomas and Martha's funeral. She seems to see a kindred spirit in Bruce because they're both orphans.
* Barbara shutting down Montoya's suggestion that Jim's corrupt.
* Harvey Bullock is not a good friend of Jim's by any stretch at this point. But he is his partner and no better is this clear than when he bravely walks into the slaughterhouse demanding Jim's freedom.

folder:
* Alfred's reaction when he catches Bruce self-harming, full bore AngerBornOfWorry followed by hugging him.
* Selina comforting a young boy crying on the bus that's about to take them upstate to juvie. You can already tell that she'll make a great CoolBigSis to Holly Robinson one day.
* Bruce wants to donate money to help the street children being rounded up, but Gordon makes him realize that more substantive donations, like clothing, would be more helpful. Gordon also reminds Bruce that, unlike the street kids, he has Alfred looking out for his best interests.

folder:
* Seeing the smile -- probably the first since his parents died -- on Bruce's face after he and Alfred have a mock swordfight.
* Bullock showing genuine concern for Gordon when he's being carried away by a weather balloon.
* Gordon unloading his disgust with Gotham's rampant corruption at all levels to Kean.
* Seeing Alfred slowly growing to trust and like Gordon. He doubts that one man can make a difference in a WretchedHive like Gotham, but he knows Gordon won't stop trying, and that's more than what anyone else is doing.
-->Bruce: "Do you believe he'll catch the man who killed my parents?"
-->Alfred: "I believe he will try."

folder:
* Alfred starts the episode threatening to burn all the paperwork about Wayne Enterprises to get Bruce to stop obsessing over it, but after seeing some persuasive evidence that something is rotten inside the company, he joins Bruce in the research. Bruce actually smiles at this.
* Falcone reminiscing about his mother. It almost makes you forget he's one of the bad guys.
* Gordon and Bullock seem to be getting closer and closer to being friends. At the start of the episode they're getting a burger together, and later Harvey seems genuinely concerned for Jim after he disappears. He even offers help if ever Jim needs it.

folder:
* Gordon finally being open to Barbara about Oswald, and how Barbara is willing to stand by him against Montoya's accusations. She was even planning on fleeing Gotham with Gordon.
* Alfred being worried about Bruce being abducted by the Goat. When Bruce says he has no one to be stolen from, Alfred looks heartbroken.
* Bullock has been covering Dix's expenses at the care home.
** And buying him magazines. Dirty magazines, much to his nurse's annoyance.
* Yet another sign that Gordon and Bullock are moving forward as partners, Bullock compliments Gordon on the latter's takedown of the Spirit of the Goat and they both sit down, exhausted, with Bullock resting his hand on Gordon's shoulder.
* In a strange way, Oswald coming to the police station to help Jim out. Granted, it's probably part of some master plan, but Oswald genuinely considers Jim a friend, at least in that he can trust Jim more than he's ever trusted anybody, and is too valuable to be allowed to be arrested.

folder:
* Captain Essen reveals the reason she's so complicit is that she has a family that she wants to be kept safe.
* When Victor goes after Gordon, Captain Essen is the only cop in the precinct to stand by him, and then Gordon asks her to leave, so her family won't get hurt.
* Bruce hugging Gordon tightly in farewell when both of them believed that Gordon might die in his ensuing battle against the mob.
* Montoya and Allen coming to Gordon's rescue against the mob when the rest of Gordon's coworkers abandon him and Montoya later apologizing to Gordon for misjudging him.
* Bullock eventually coming back to Gordon, especially at the darkest hour, to support Gordon's play against the Mob even though it could mean his death. Hell, Bullock figures he's a dead man anyway. And even though Bullock snarks at Gordon's rather idealistic plan of trying to arrest everybody, Bullock's got his partner's back the whole way in.
* Cobblepott's one request [[spoiler:at the conclusion of his manipulation scheme so far, spare Gordon. It shows his honorable nature considering that since he depended on that one honest GCPD cop to have the conscience to spare him, Penguin likely would conclude that it is only fair to give him the same consideration. Plus, there is some PragmaticVillainy in it for the Penguin; keeping a reliably honest cop on the force who is a neutral in the organized crime rivalry is likely an asset if handled with some care]].

folder:
* Bullock being the one to rally the police to help find and save Gordon.
* Alfred taking Bruce out for pizza after the bully problem is solved.
** Alfred agreeing to train Bruce.
* Rather surprisingly, Fish Mooney gets one with her cheerfully applauding her mother's singing. It's perhaps the one completely genuine emotion from her we've seen.

folder:
* Bruce and Selina playing together. After eight episodes of TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior, it's so nice to see Bruce laughing and having fun at last. And as a result of that, Alfred decides to let Selina stay with them after all.
** Prior to this, Bruce and Selina's first meeting, with all the weight of what their relationship will become supported by an adorable ToyShip moment.
*** Also during their first meeting she introduces herself using her real name something she rarely does.
** Bruce clearly figuring out that Selina is deceiving herself with her elaborate story about her mother, but keeping it to himself so she can have her happy memory of her parents.

folder:
* Selina spoiler:coming back at the end, both to say her thanks to Bruce for doing what he could saving her skin from the lady assassin, and then tricking Bruce into getting close enough to give him his FirstKiss. And giving back the stuff she stole from him.
** Alfred coming in right after saying "the house is quieter without her" knowing what just happened, and is okay with it, even he misses Selina.
* Alfred's deadpan quipping upon finding Bruce safe at episode's end.
** And the way he pleads with to help find Bruce before the assassins could, appealing to .
* Nygma's goodbye to Gordon, showing he really does care about the people he works with, in his own horribly awkward way.
** Bullock is genuinely upset that Gordon's getting shipped off to exile at Arkham, even after all the bickering they've been through. Then again, they've become FireForgedFriends. (Either that or Bullock's worried he's gotta break in another rookie partner...)
* Selina and Pepper. It's clear that Pepper is a CreepyChild, and the street kids avoid her. But Selina is friends with her, and asks worriedly how she's been when she sees her again. She knows that Pepper is dangerous, but she still acts nice, and only really starts to get worried when Bruce tells Pepper his name.
** While initially creepy and questioning to Bruce, Ivy remarked to Selina that she probably brought him with her, because she thought he was cute. Something Selina shamelessly admits and something Ivy seems to agree with. Though that could be some FoeYay with the future Dark Knight and Poison Ivy.
** While Selina thinks Ivy is scary, Bruce thinks of her as a "little girl."

folder:
* Selina finds Ivy sick in alley and brings her to Barbara's apartment so she can look after her. For all her faults it shows she does care about her friends.
* How positively gleeful Harvey is to see Jim again and how he instantly goes after his BadBoss.
** Followed by Sarah happily welcoming him back and sharing a wine bottle with the two.

folder:
* Nygma explaining the meaning of the riddle- the cupcake with the bullet sticking out of it- he left for Kristin: a beautiful woman is a dangerous thing. Despite being annoyed by his weird and awkward attempts at courting her up until this point, she actually gives a little smile- despite thinking it was weird and menacing earlier, the explanation behind it is very flattering. She starts to smile even more when he asks and immediately answers another funny but morbid riddle implied to be designed to make her laugh.
* Fish rushing to Liza Despite conditioning her into a "weapon" to usurp Falcone, she cared about Liza in her own way, and even considered her as a daughter. Unfortunately, she's held back by Butch and can do nothing but watch
** Beforehand Fish meets with Falcone, Liza is worried about what to comes, and Fish reassures her.
---> "Don't worry, baby. Mama's got this."
** It's very bittersweet considering what comes next, but Falcone actually acknowledges that Liza was just a young girl caught in Fish's schemes, which makes it even more tragic that even when she began to care about Falcone and even wanted out of Fish's schemes.

folder:
* Fish's and Butch partnership is this: after being saved by Butch, Fish wakes up to see the latter watching over her with a smile as she comes to, evidently happy that she's alive while giving her an ice pack for her struck jaw. Fish then gives her appreciation to Butch with a warm smile, which is rare considering the sadist she can be.
** Fish's refusal to abandon Butch . She's even protesting as he pushes her out of the window, while letting a BigNo She had just lost , and now she's afraid of losing Butch.
** The aftermath has Bullock dropping off Fish at the docks so that she's able to leave Gotham in discretion. In the beginning of the episode, he bluntly stated that Fish knew the game she played and the price she'd paid for it, and yet went out of his way to help her. Fish promises her to Bullock that she'll return, and the two share a final kiss.

folder:
* Gordon making it perfectly clear to Essen that Edward Nygma is the only person he trusts to go over the evidence he found. Nice to see somebody finally giving Nygma the respect he's tried so hard to earn.
* Harvey Bullock in love. He's surprisingly smooth, yet still a bit of a bull in a china shop. It's endearing.
* Nygma and Ms. Kringle's interaction in this episode is surprisingly nice.
* Another Nygma moment, at the end of the episode when Gordon's having his BigDamnKiss while the rest of the station look on dumbfounded, Nygma just has a big grin, clearly happy for Gordon.

folder:
* In an odd way, Penguin's scene at the beginning of the episode where he kills a guest at his nightclub for insulting his mother. Say what you want about Oswald, but there's no denying how much he loves his mother.
* Fish showing she actually does have a heart by
* Gordon is indirectly responsible for Aww...

folder:
* Alfred saying how much better his life has become thanks to Bruce. In turn, Bruce calling him "my friend" during his 911 call.
* As soon as Gordon gets the call that Alfred has been stabbed, he immediately runs over to the hospital to comfort Bruce.

folder:
* Selina showing up at the hospital upon hearing what happened to Alfred. And consoling Bruce.
** When Bruce says he intends to go after Alfred's assailant, she very reasonably concludes that he's insane. Then she offers to help in his searches, and even after he turns her down, she says the offers still stands.
* Gordon gets angry with Bullock over his partner's false testimony that got Flass off the murder charges. But Bullock points out to him "Everyone has a Cobblepot," a bad choice every cop was forced to undergo so that the corrupt powers would have blackmail material on them. Gordon was seemingly the first one to break the cycle, and Bullock expresses some regret that his "Cobblepot" (victim) didn't come back.
** When forcing the deal with Loeb, Gordon is at least able to get the incriminating stuff on Bullock, which at least -- for now -- puts his partner in a good footing. And that they got each other's back.
* The way Gordon and Bullock realize that what Loeb has in the remote farmhouse is . They

folder:
* Fish comforting Kelley Despite her plan to escape which involved sacrifices, she seems to genuinely care about her as he's somewhat her only ally and friend in the dungeon. What makes it even more heartwarming is that

folder:
* Alfred's teasing Bruce over his decision to invite Selina to the Wayne Enterprises charity ball.
* Barbara offering to help Selina dress up for the occasion, and then Bruce's stuttering and adorable expression when he sees Selina.
* A short but sweet moment: When Gordon is desperately trying to get in touch with Leslie Thompkins because he believes the Ogre is after her, he demands to know where she is, asking Nygma to skip the riddles. Nygma pauses for a second and straightforwardly tells Gordon what he knows.

folder:
* Falcone telling Gordon to clean up Gotham as he retires, giving him the knife that Gordon's father gave him, telling the younger Gordon that his father was the most honest man Falcone ever knew. Seeing that come from a mob boss is pretty heartwarming.

!!Season 2

folder:
* Seeing Bullock in the episode without the force -- he's got a steady job (as a bartender), he's been sober for 32 days, he actually sleeps at night, and he has a girlfriend.
** The hug between him and Jim after . It's a testament to how close they've become, and a direct callback to their less-than-stellar beginnings in the first season.

folder:
* Lucius Fox telling Bruce Wayne, "I loved your father."
* Bruce hugging Gordon after
* Edward taking a bullet for Miss Kringle counts as awesome. The heartwarming part? Afterwards, while he's being checked out by an EMT, Miss Kringle is right beside him, handing him medicine.
* Surprisingly, [[spoiler:Barbara gets one in this episode. She lures Gordon outside of the GCP before the other Maniax come in and watches placidly as Aaron beats the tar out of him. While a part of her definitely enjoyed that, she briefly looks remorseful at seeing Jim so roughed up. It's heavily implied that she lured him away so he wouldn't get gunned down like most of his colleagues, indicating that she still cares for him in her own twisted way.]]

folder:
* Bruce gets two: going back to save Alfred, regardless that there's a room full of mooks with guns and two dangerous criminals on the loose ("I won't let them hurt Alfred!", and, just before he goes back, telling Selina that he misses her.
* Selina gets one for trying to save Bruce. She could have easily just slipped out of the charity ball and away from the mooks and further trouble, only worrying about herself, but she specifically waited for him to take him to safety with her.

folder:
* Eddie finally gets his long coveted date with Miss Kringle. They even share an endearingly awkward moment of taking off their glasses before sharing a kiss.
* Though it was orchestrated by Theo Galavan for reasons currently unknown, Bruce's meeting with Silver St. Cloud is a cute moment. Upon learning Silver, who was studying abroad in Geneva for two years, will be attending Anders Prep with him, Bruce replies that he's been homeschooled for a while and is basically the new kid at school himself, prompting Silver to give him a reassuring smile and say, "Then we shall brave it together." She keeps her word the next day, fondly calling out to Bruce, who is keeping to himself, the moment she sees him despite her new circle of friends, making him grin. It's nice to see him interacting with someone on his wavelength, considering previous episodes portrayed Bruce as something of an outcast at the academy. [[spoiler:Unfortunately, we later learn that Silver is in on Galavan's plan, making her affection for Bruce a farce.]]
* Some can say Alfred punching Selina is this. Despite giving her one heck of a chance she completely blew it. Seeing she will clearly be nothing more than trouble or at worse a threat to Bruce he tells her to never come near them again.
** On the other end, one could see Selina being there at all as a heartwarmer. Bruce told her he missed her last episode; she clearly missed him too and was undoubtedly planning to surprise-visit him after school.

folder:
* Butch stating that everyone who knew fish knows she loved Selina. The way she perks up at this and says "They do?" This after the implication that she's waiting for her [Fish] to come back.
* Selina, upon seeing what life's like for Bridget Pyke, reaches out to her to try and get her to leave her abusive family. And when things get out of hand and Bridget becomes a CopKiller, Selina helps her escape. Cat's still got a soft spot for other kids.

folder:
* Selina's protectiveness over Bridget.
** First, she takes Bridget to her home with her. Then the girls commit a robbery in order for Bridget to have enough money to leave town and start fresh by herself. And when Bridget is kidnapped by her "brothers", Selina grabs a shotgun and fully intends to go after them alone to rescue her friend.
** Then, when it's clear Bridget intends to enter into a fully-fledged life of crime, Selina tries to stop her. First telling her what she's doing is stupid, then getting angry, then hugging Bridget tenderly when she knows she can't sway her. And then later asking Gordon for help.
*** Bridget telling Selina that it's nice to have someone who worries for her. It's an understated moment that perfectly illustrates that underneath the years of the streets and the abuse, both girls have very big hearts and care for each other - and that it's something neither of them have had much of in their young lives.
* While Selina and Bridget are planning a robbery for some quick cash, they come upon a sex slavery ring and Bridget's first instinct is to go in and help the girls being sold. Despite, you know, being on the hook for killing a cop and needing to get in and out in a hurry.
** And then she went back later alone and set them free!

folder:
* reuniting is by far their most heartwarming scene together. [[spoiler:And then Tabitha stabs her in the back and kills her]]. Nonetheless, their final conversation is heartwarming on its own.
-->' : "? What is wrong? You look so sad."
-->': "Nothing's wrong, . Nothing at all. We're together now. That's all that matters. That's all that ever mattered, right?"
-->': "Ever since you were a little baby. My little ."
-->': "I'm sorry... This is all my fault... Please forgive me, I'm so sorry..."
-->': "For what? ."
** Also, look at how smiles while he talks to one final time. The last thing he wants her to see .

folder:
* Alfred and Bruce's heart-to-heart is incredibly poignant, as Alfred steps in fully as Bruce's surrogate father. He tells Bruce that he's not worried about the Wayne family legacy...because the Wayne family legacy is standing right in front of him.
* There's something oddly sweet about Edward's burial of Kristen, having one last meal with her before dumping her body in the woods. He's trying to give her as decent a burial as his twisted mind will allow.

folder:
* A villainous one for Tabitha. The reason she hires hitmen to kill Jim isn't because he shot her arm and ruined her aim, but because
* Nygma's various attempts to bring Oswald out of mourning for , up to and including finding an old record of the song
* In spite of what happened the last time they met, Selina returns to Bruce to warn him about Silver's danger... And she passed all the time between these encounters searching for evidence.

folder:
* Bruce tells Selina that he won Silver's trust by sweet-talking her, saying that he had never met someone like her before and felt a deep connection with her. And then he says that he wasn't entirely making things up, as he actually feels this way about her. Selina is clearly touched by this, and appears choked up for a moment.

folder:
* Silver is told by her uncle to toy with Bruce's feelings again just hours before his death, otherwise he'll cut her out of the family. Bruce sees through her clumsy attempts and point-blank tells her that he feels nothing but pity for her. But right as Theo comes to lead him out of his cell, he turns around and kisses Silver, just like Theo wants. Bruce isn't afraid to die, but he won't let Silver suffer the same fate.
* Tabitha beating the hell out of Theo to stop him from hurting her niece. She may be a violent sociopath, but even she draws the line at hurting family.
** Then again, she also pushes Silver out of the window without giving her enough time. However considering the two parachutes at the end, Tabitha was probably shoving her niece out so she wouldn't hesitate. Theo was now conscious and getting up. The fact that Tabitha opted for getting Silver away from Theo instead of fighting him, gives the impression that she cares a lot about her niece.
* Jim Gordon straightforwardly .

folder:
* Nygma promising to look after Mrs. Copplepot's grave. Despite his not taking it all that seriously, Oswald is still deeply touched.
* Oswald refusing to disclose Jim's part in the murder of Theo Galavan. He confesses happily to the deed and takes all the blame on himself.

folder:
* The entire scene where Victor freezes his wife. The exchanges between her and him, and between her and Lee, leading up to the moment are all touching.

folder:
* The scene where the newly-reformed Oswald visits Nygma. The chemistry between the two is incredibly genuine; for that one moment, neither of them seem like insane, murderous criminals, just two good buddies having a happy little reunion.
** And though it's brief, it's clear that Nygma is furious at not only Oswald being tarred and feathered by Butch and Tabitha, but also the 'treatment' he underwent at Arkham that changed him so much.
* Oswald finally meets his father, Elijah Van Dahl, a man whom he thought was dead for the past 33 years. Happy to meet the son he never knew existed before, Elijah decides to take him in and make him a member of his "big, happy family". Just look at how Oswald's face lights up at the thought of a family. After going through all kinds of hell since his mother's death, he can finally settle down with a loving family of his own.
-->Oswald: Sir, please, tell me truthfully. Is this a dream?
-->Elijah: It's not a dream, my boy. You're home.

folder:
* Oswald spends the whole episode bonding with his father. When Oswald begins to confess that he was a criminal who did terrible things, Elijah stops him and tells him that his past sins don't matter to him. Oswald, in turn, helps his father to bed when he finds him sleepwalking, and is the one to call for help when his father's health worsens. .
* Gordon's reluctant friendship with the teenaged Puck. Even though he tells Puck at least twice to stay away from him (as bad things tend to happen to the people close to Gordon, especially in a prison full of convicts Gordon himself put away), Puck helps Gordon to find his sense of hope amidst his despair, telling him, "Choose life." The way they meet? When Puck tries to diffuse a CurbStompBattle where Gordon would have been mauled by the other inmates.

folder:
* After Nygma is arrested for the murder of Pinkley and Jim's reputation is cleared, what favor does Jim call in with Captain Barnes? To ask him not to punish Harvey for breaking him out of jail, and hiding him when he was still a fugitive.
** Likewise, Barnes giving Jim Lee's new phone number and telling him to get in touch with her.
* Alfred telling Bruce that while he still doesn't trust Selina, he's grateful to her for being so loyal to Bruce, and fiercely tells him not to get her involved with Thomas Wayne's work.
-->Alfred: I will not have you put that little girl's life in danger.

folder:
* When , his first reaction is to yell, It's a testament to their bond, as well as his character, that he's more worried about her well-being than his own in that moment.

folder:
* In a really weird way, Strange's decision to take some time out of his interrogation of Gordon to get to the root of his unresolved issues and help him find some inner peace. He's a MadScientist, sure, but he's also a pretty good psychotherapist. After all, just because he's going to kill the guy doesn't mean he has to let him die with a bunch of baggage...
* When Bruce apologizes to Selina for manipulating her into infiltrating Arkham for him, she makes it clear that she went in because she wanted to, and doesn't blame him.
** And then the minute Strange, Firefly, and Freeze are distracted, she goes back and breaks Jim, Lucius, and Bruce out. It's an understated moment but shows just how close she and Bruce (and to some extent, Gordon) have become; she doesn't think twice about rescuing them, and not one of them is surprised that she did it.
* Even if Firefly's "goddess" personality-implant has seriously confused her as to why she values Selina, she's still got enough Bridgit in her to stand up to Strange and Fries in her friend's defense. Defying them, she openly refers to Selina as her friend, not merely her "servant".

!!Season 3

folder:
* Apparently, Oswald still goes to visit Nygma in the Asylum, mentioning that he had been sending him "a sweater, some biscuits..." and buying a puzzle box for him as a present. A genuine VillainousFriendship at its finest.
* Even though Bridgit nearly killed her in last season's finale, Selina is still taking care of her old friend's pigeons with Ivy's help.

folder:
* Fish admitting that she didn't kill Penguin last time they saw each other because she has too much pride in what he's become. Penguin actually spares her life in response.

folder:
* Bruce trying to help his clone.

folder:
* Nygma going out of his way to help Oswald win the election and trying (and failing until it's almost too late) to clue him in to his motivation for doing so: . Oswald realizes that whatever Nygma had been doing behind his back, it was all thanks to him that . Oswald rewards him for his efforts by .
* In a moment that firmly cements Harvey Bullock as one of Jim Gordon's TrueCompanions, he helps Gordon get out of suicide watch, hunt down Trech, and helps him try to bring him in. When Barnes tries to read him the riot act over this, Bullock's response is very touching:
-->Barnes: Gordon is going to get you killed one day.
-->Bullock: Yeah, but until that day, I will NEVER give up on him.
* Before the previous moment with Barnes and Bullock, we get a heartwarming conversation between Gordon and Tompkins. While Gordon wants to get out to find Tetch, Lee delivers this very touching line:
-->Lee:But there is a difference between moving on and letting go

folder:
* They may be villains, but there's something touching about Oswald bringing Nygma tea and Nygma telling him that he'd do anything for him.
** On a meta level, a number of fans had thought that Penguin was about to kiss Ed, only to be slightly disappointed that only a hug followed in a more bromantic fashion.
* Bruce finally addresses his and Selina's feelings for each other. And in response, Selina kisses him!

folder:
*
* Barnes and Bullock do their best to reassure Jim that wasn't Jim's fault.
* A bit of meta-heartwarming is the absence of any scenes between Bruce and Selina. While everyone else gets to cope with how LoveHurts, these two are spared any more heartache.

* After disappearing for twelve hours, Ed walks in on Oswald, out of his mind with worry and trying to file a missing persons report beileving that Edward got kidnapped. Then Oswald hugged him saying how he is glad that Edward is safe.
* The memory that snaps Gordon out of his self-pitying funk?
* Bruce and Selina's first date, with them being openly honest how weird the whole thing is.
* When Gordon tells Barnes he wants to rejoin the GCPD, he's welcomed backed with open arms.
* Even though Barbara is just a hallucination, Jim still hallucinates her being somewhat caring towards him. Perhaps some good is still in the Real!Barbara and he can sense it, or at least Jim has some good memories of their past together. On the last stop, she looks genuinely worried for Jim:
--> Hallucination!Barbara: "Don't be scared. It's not easy to face who you really are. I should know...[a little while later] Good luck, Jim."

* Butch tells Tabitha he loves her and forgives her when he thinks she'll choose saving her hand over saving him.
** Tabitha is obviously moved by Butch's words to her, enough that she drops the shock trigger and allows her hand to get cut off. Extra sweet when you think about how they match now, since they're both missing a hand.
*** The fact that Tabitha still loves Butch after breaking up with him offscreen between season 2 and 3, presumably because Butch helped Penguin kill Galavan (as revenge for stabbing her for her betrayal).
** Barbara, too. She goes up against Penguin, in spite of the rest of the crime families pointing guns at her, to find and save Tabitha and doesn't stop until she finds her and Butch. Even if Tabitha and Butch are an "item" now, Barbara would still do anything for her.

* In his own disturbing way, Jerome telling Lee that he liked her and Gordon together. So one of the evilest characters on Gotham is a ShipperOnDeck?
* It doubles as a TearJerker, but Bruce demonstrates just how much he cares about Selina's happiness when he admits that he had suspected Selina's mother was just using her to get to Bruce's money but had paid her anyway because he hoped it would be enough to make her stay for a while.
* Tabitha and Barbara plotting to kill Nygma. Despite the circumstances, Barbara gently kissing Tabitha and then the soft way Tabitha watches Barbara was pretty heartwarming.

folder:
* The part where Penguin and Poison Ivy meet with Firefly to recruit her into Penguin's army is a surprisingly touching one. While Firefly rejects their offer at first, Ivy convinces her otherwise, assuring her that while Firefly may be a freak, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a freak, pointing out both she (Ivy) and Penguin are also freaks. The way Ivy and Firefly bond through their friendship with Selina is also a noteworthy detail.
* Pissed off with Bruce she may have been, the second that Selina finds out the Bruce has been replaced with The Clone and the people said clone is working with plans to kill a lot of people? Turn on him and instantly becomes dedicated to saving her boyfriend starting with telling Alfred.
** When the Clone tries to convince her to save herself and abandon Gotham, Selina tells him that no matter what the real Bruce would not stop until he saved everyone.
* Jim and Nygma reminiscing about the time they had dinner together with Lee and Kristen. Neither of them show any emotion whatsoever when talking about it, but it's clear that the both of them still cherish this memory dearly. Even as the evil, murderous Riddler, Ed still carries at least a little bit of his former life with him.

folder:

* Bruce and Selina's reunion after the way things were left at the end of Season 3. Selina reacts with her usual mild indifference...until Bruce compliments her dress.

folder:
* Bruce comforting Alex on the murder of his grandfather, and opening up enough to admit that he'd frozen in fear when his own parents were murdered, just like Alex had. Alex, in return, tells Bruce how bad he'd felt for him when he'd heard about the Wayne killings years ago. All the more touching in that it's the first interaction we've seen Bruce have with someone his own age in a very long time, other than Selina.

* The Riddler offering to buy Martin ice cream.

* Before leaving the diner, Selina tells Bruce not to take so much responsibility that he ends up getting himself killed. From the way she said it, you could almost hear her saying, "...because I couldn't stand it if something happened to you."
* Tetch has hypnotized hundreds of people to jump off a building at the stroke of midnight. If they're told to save themselves, or if Gordon or the cops try to pull them back they'll jump. Gordon's solution? Telling them to "Save eachother." And it works.
* Gordon and Bullock mend their relationship further over a well-earned scotch. Specifically, Bullock tells Gordon that if Gordon had been in jail,

* Alfred giving Bruce a matte black, bulletproof Mustang for his birthday and telling him a story about how much he'd loved a wagon his father had given him when he turned seven. Bruce hugs him. Alfred is so pleased by Bruce's reaction that instead of calling him by his usual formal title, he says "mate".
* Bruce thanking Selina for coming to celebrate his birthday. Selina is pleased as punch that Bruce is back to his normal self again and can't stop smiling at him.
** Bruce doesn't seem terribly upset by Selina breaking in and "stealth" blowing out his birthday candles. Then again, considering the rough sort of life Selina's had, it might have been years since she's gotten to blow out candles on a birthday cake.
** Also, Selina reveals that she'd never believed Bruce's "brat" phase was anything but that: a role he was just playing at, that he could never truly embrace or sustain.

That alone would have been heartwarming, but it's made even more so by the fact that her justification is that she'd hoped Bruce wouldn't have to kill Ra's again.
* After spending the entire episode fighting to keep the mark of the Demon's Head, Barbara gives it up when Ra's threatens Tabitha. This is after three seasons of fighting and backstabbing.
* The conversation Barbara and Tabitha have prior to the start of the plan to kill Ra's.

* Selina finds Ivy sick in alley and brings her to Barbara's apartment so she can look after her. For all her faults it shows she does care about her friends.

---> "Don't worry, baby. Mama's got this."

They

While a part of her definitely enjoyed that, she briefly looks remorseful at seeing Jim so roughed up.

* Selina's protectiveness over Bridget.
** And then she went back later alone and set them free!

* Jim Gordon straightforwardly .

-->Elijah: It's not a dream, my boy. You're home.

* Doubles as a Tearjerker, but Ed meeting

folder:
I should know...[a little while later] Good luck, Jim."

folder:

folder:
Even if Tabitha and Butch are an "item" now, Barbara would still do anything for her.

folder:
* In his own disturbing way, Jerome telling Lee that he liked her and Gordon together. So one of the evilest characters on Gotham is a ShipperOnDeck?
* It doubles as a TearJerker, but Bruce demonstrates just how much he cares about Selina's happiness when he admits that he had suspected Selina's mother was just using her to get to Bruce's money but had paid her anyway because he hoped it would be enough to make her stay for a while.
* Tabitha and Barbara plotting to kill Nygma. Despite the circumstances, Barbara gently kissing Tabitha and then the soft way Tabitha watches Barbara was pretty heartwarming.

folder:
* Bruce running into Alfred's embrace after he thought Jerome had his zealots kill the butler.
* In the aftermath of Bruce

Even as the evil, murderous Riddler, Ed still carries at least a little bit of his former life with him.

folder:
* Ivy and Selina may bicker frequently, but Ivy still cares about Selina deeply enough to rush to the hospital as soon as she hears the latter is hurt. Ivy immediately gets serious and promises that she'll find a way to heal her.

!!Season 4
folder:
* Bruce and Selina's reunion after the way things were left at the end of
[[Heartwarming/GothamSeasonOne Season 3. Bruce makes a sincere apology without justifying his behavior and climbs up on the edge without hesitation when Selina won't take it seriously if he didn't. Selina reacts with her usual mild indifference...until Bruce compliments her dress.

Season Two

* The Riddler offering to buy Martin ice cream.

folder:
* Bruce lets Selina out of his car, telling her she doesn't owe him anything and that he's going to take on Jerome himself. Later, Selina shows up to save him anyway.
