* Garvill is shown to be a {{Ax Crazy}} literal monster as she rips Veronica in half in her first scene and then goes after both her and Fran to attack them on sight, but as the series goes on she does show herself to be a {{Jerk with a Heart of Gold}} as she shows herself to capable of genuine empathy as she cares for Amatsuska which is shown when she goes after the people who attacked him, she shows herself to be a woman of honour as she keeps her word not to kill any students at the school she's working at even if they annoy her from time to time. She also shows she does care about her sisters as she tells Veronica not to go after the people who made her friend to commit suicide which she said she did it so that she can wallow in despair but it is implied that she did it because those people were about to die anyway so she did it so that Veronica does not go on a warpath even further to implied that she does not want anyone to become like her and she is friendly to Fran as well despite the way they do things differently.

* Chapter 3: Garvill ends up on a island with a group of people who decide to follow her because she seems to be the one who has experience to be the natural leader so she does end up caring about them despite her telling them to go away and at the end she tells Fran to save them clearly showing that she is now becoming a good-hearted woman who genuinely cares about most people.
