* Little Cato as a baby is absolutely adorable.

* Ash's time with Evra, more than being a cute sequence of ShipTease (with special mention to how her face positively lights up when the latter shifts into a cute humanoid form followed by the two just sitting and beholding the "Hidden Lights"), is a welcome emotionally-healing breath of fresh air that, while not completely absolving her of her own trauma, puts her in a better enough mood to carry on and return to the Team Squad. All this is wonderfully capped off with the sight of Mooncake arriving to lay Fox to rest among the Hidden Lights (and adorably nudging Ash's cheek in excitement and relief that she's doing alright), putting his soul at peace.

* Once Gary and Quinn turn on the relay in Wisconsin, Kevin pulls Ash into a big ol' much-needed hug.

** Just like when he wanted to hear about Avery, or when he told Little Cato things about his dad when he had been dead, Gary wants to honor the people lost by making sure he remembers them. He doesn't ask Ash to forgive him, he only asks to know more about her brother.

* Without knowing anything about what's going on other than that some people he doesn't know want to hurt Mooncake, Gary refuses to abandon his new friend.

** Mooncake him(?)self. He's like the universe's deadliest puppy.

* How does Little Cato get Avocato from the past to recognize that he's the real deal from the future? By flashing the [[BishieSparke "eyebrows of everything."]] It's as goofy and funny as it is wholesome and sweet.

* Ash coming to terms with Fox's death and forgiving Gary. The episode ends with them sitting down together and Ash happily sharing fond memories of her brother with Gary.

* Meeting Evra proves to be a much-needed bright spot for Ash and the viewer amidst a great big TraumaCongaLine of a season. Between meeting such [[NiceGirl an earnestly kind, playful soul,]] gleefully blasting space rocks for catharsis together, and seeing Mooncake carry off Fox's remains and signal her to come home by adorably nudging her cheek, it's clear Ash's trip away from the crew did some real good for her headspace.

* Meeting Evra proves to me a much-needed bright spot for Ash amidst a great big TraumaCongaLine of a season. * While Ash betraying the crew and kidnapping Little Cato is a massive TearJerker, the motivations behind it are this: Ash wants to protect Little Cato and keep him safe, [[BecauseYouWereNiceToMe because he was always kind towards her]].

* Avocato gradually going from tolerating Gary's presence [[spoiler:in an attempt to bargain with the Lord Commander for Little Cato's release from prison]] to genuinely offering to be his friend.

* Avocato and HUE absolutely refuse to leave Gary to [[spoiler:die in episode 4, even if it means they'll likely be captured by the Infinity Guard. It's particularly effective coming from HUE. For all the abuse he heaped on Gary during his prison sentence, the AI really does care about him.]]

* Fresh off of learning that [[spoiler:the Infinity Guard became corrupt under the Lord Commander's plan to activate Final Space,]] Quinn is shocked and despondent, and believes there to be no more good guys or anyone to fully trust, not even herself. Gary and co. are able to convince her otherwise, though. Really, Avocato sums up the moment best:

* HUE convincing Quinn not to abandon ship in episode 6 by [[spoiler:showing her all of the hundreds of video messages Gary made for her everyday during his prison sentence. It's enough to convince Quinn to stick around and meet back up with Gary, Avocato and Little Cato.]]
* Avocato [[spoiler:getting through to his possessed son and freeing him from the Lord Commander's control with a CoolDownHug.]]

* HUE admits in this episode that Gary was the only real friend he has had and that he feels as though his "life" would be meaningless without him as [[spoiler:Gary's prison sentence had ended]].
* Usually, in other shows where [[RevengeBeforeReason revenge negatively affects a character's judgement]], in the case of Final Space, it's used to develop the bond between Gary and Little Cato rather than create a conflict. After three days of Little Cato avoiding everyone, he and Gary bond through [[spoiler:remembering Avocato.]]
** Misguided though his reasoning might have been at the time, it's really sweet to see that Avocato's devotion to Little Cato ''definitely'' wasn't one-sided-- in fact, the latter clearly loved him right back WartsAndAll, enough to [[spoiler:attempt to pilot Nightfall's time-traveling ship to rescue Avocato in return.]]

* Gary and Past!John's interactions with each other, once they get past hostilities. Doubles as a CMOF when they bond further over [[spoiler:jumping and beating up a time-frozen pre-Lord Commander (who used to be called Jack)]], and later triples as a TearJerker [[spoiler:when Gary realizes he's in a closed time-loop, thus can't do anything about preventing Past!John's HeroicSacrifice.]]

* With a minute left of oxygen, HUE [[spoiler:assures Gary that he would be remaining with him until the bitter end]]. Talk about UndyingLoyalty.

* When discussing who will back Quinn up to get her to the breach, Little Cato immediately volunteers. Three of the SAMES also decide to watch Little Cato's back, and one is even quick to apologize for accidentally [[spoiler:and [[NotInFrontOfTheKid casually bringing up Avocato's loss.]]]]

* Mooncake shows genuine concern and horror at KVN's death, and attempts to get his body out of the shield room [[spoiler:even though it gets him captured by the Lord Commander.]]

* Thanks to Ash blasting him with her powers, [[spoiler: Invictus is forced to let go of Avocato, which means that the latter is ''finally'' back for good ! He and Gary celebrate with a Clasp to end all clasps, directly [[ShoutOut referencing]] [[Film/{{Predator}} the famous handshake between Dutch and Dillon]].]]

* [[spoiler: When the Aracnitects open the portal to Final Space, they also inform Bolo and the Crimson Light crew that they will be sealed inside. Realizing the risks, Gary looks to his teammates who, without a single word, look back to him with expressions that say "We've come this far. Let's do this!" By this point, they truly have become more than a team.]]
* [[spoiler: Upon entering Final Space, the heroes are shocked by the hundreds of dead Garys, but our Gary only has eyes for one person: Quinn. Defying the odds of the multiverse, Gary reaches out to her, and she takes his hand.]]

* In order to survive her Final Space poisoning, Quinn has to undergo surgery to receive [[spoiler: a cranial implant just like the one Nightfall had]]. However, her body is so weakened that she can't be sedated, and the pain alone could kill her anyway. HUE mentions that a viable solution to prevent her death would be to fuse her pain receptors to Gary's in order to lessen the strain put on her body. Gary consents to it with no hesitation, and even though it immediately takes a massive toll on him and puts him in excruciating pain, he keeps insisting that HUE keeps diverting more and more of Quinn's pain to him, because he knows she would do the same for him.

* Hue notices how broken Gary is following [[spoiler: the death of Fox]] and tries to cheer him up by offering him a cookie from the dispenser. While Gary refuses it and even proceeds to violently smash the machine in a fit of grief-fueled rage, the gesture itself was very sweet, especially when one remembers how HUE used to mercilessly tease Gary about cookies back when the latter was still a prisoner on the Galaxy One. HUE offering Gary a cookie not to reward him, but to ''comfort him'', definitely shows how far they've come since Season 1.

--> '''Avocato''': "I didn't mean what I said about you [[spoiler: murdering Fox]]. And I'm one lucky guy to have you as a friend!"

* Ash coming to terms with [[spoiler: Fox's death]] and forgiving [[spoiler: Gary]]. The episode ends with them sitting down together and Ash happily sharing fond memories of [[spoiler: her brother]] with [[spoiler: Gary]].

* Clarence's reaction to Ash's message. For all the selfish scumbag he was in the previous two seasons, he honestly regrets his actions and is genuinely saddened upon learning that [[spoiler: Fox has died]]. And despite Gary's doubts, he ''does'' accomplish his mission and activates the other end of Van Newton's dimensional bridge, [[spoiler: at the cost of his own life. He spends his final moments fondly looking at an old picture of him with Ash and Fox.]]
* Even if it's kind of a MoodWhiplash in its execution, [[spoiler: Fraskenhaur is genuinely saddened by Clarence's death and craddles his dead body in his arms while letting out a SkywardScream.]]

** At first, Sheryl doesn't like being called a "grandmom". However, when [[spoiler: Ash decides to leave the ship and take Little Cato with her, Sheryl's reaction is to pick up a heavy assault rifle, stating that nobody is going to hurt "her grandson".]]
* While [[spoiler: Ash betraying the crew and kidnapping Little Cato]] is a massive TearJerker, the motivations behind it are this : [[spoiler: Ash wants to protect Little Cato and keep him safe, [[BecauseYouWereNiceToMe because he was always kind towards her]].]]
