*** When all the ''good'' people killed by Buu are brought back to life, Vegeta is astonished to see ''he too'' is alive again. This action, sacrificing himself for his family and Earth knowing he would go to Hell, be punished, and then forcibly reincarnated and [[DeaderThanDead die in any way that matters to him]], likely played a large part in tipping the scales and bringing him closer to becoming good, the rest being how he wished for the good people killed by Buu to be brought back in the expectation he'd stay dead and go back to Hell.

* Vegeta dies fighting Majin Buu and is sent to Hell for the evil deeds he's done in the past. Flash forward about three days and a massive epic fight, in which Uranai Baba briefly brought Vegeta back from the dead because Goku needed help. Dende wishes for Porunga to bring everyone who isn't evil back to life, and Vegeta is resurrected along with everyone else. The look on his face is just amazing.
--> '''Goku''': And guess what else, the evil people weren't wished back. The verdict's in, you're a good guy!

* After Kid Buu is destroyed, Goku and Vegeta give each other a smile and thumbs up. It's gratifying to see Vegeta finally become friendly with Goku.
* Dende goes to heal Goku, who tells him to do it first to Vegeta. Dende does so without any hesitation. Considering that Dende refused to do so the first time back in the Namek Saga due to Vegeta killing a Namekian village and being just as wicked as Frieza(Dende was persuaded to anyway as he was the heroes' only hope against the tyrant), it's another hint that Vegeta is no longer hated by the heroes and is now seen as among their TrueCompanions.

* There are quite a few of these in ''Battle of Gods'':
** The entire ending credits sequence, which is a huge nostalgia trip for everyone who has read or watched the series and shows that the movie is a labour of love.
** Videl announcing [[spoiler: that she's pregnant]], along with everyone's reaction to it, especially Gohan's.
** What triggers Goku's [[spoiler: second transformation into Super Saiyan God]] is seeing his friends and family crying out for him, [[AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther starting with Chi-Chi]]. Given how often Goku's treated as a negligent father and husband by fans, it's touching to see that he puts his wife first here.
*** There was also Goku admitting that he hated how he became a Super Saiyan God since he couldn't reach it with his own power, but he swallowed his pride to not only fight Beerus, but to protect his friends.
*** During that scene, the first one to point out he became that strong thanks to his friends is actually Beerus himself, averting EvilCannotComprehendGood. Doubly heartwarming when you consider the only person Beerus seems to hang out with frequently is Whis, meaning he must legitimately consider him a friend despite how much they argue.
** On a similar note, when Beerus [[spoiler: knocks Bulma down]], Vegeta '''''[[ThePowerOfLove freaks out]]''''' and manages to briefly surpass Goku (something that Goku willingly admits!). [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Of course, he refuses to admit the reason for his strength boost afterwards.]]
*** Even before that, the Saiyan Prince who likes talking about his pride at every opportunity utterly humiliates himself (to the point of a potential CMOF during his bingo song and dance) in an attempt to keep Beerus happy and protect his family, friends, and the inhabitants of Earth in general.
** Beerus [[spoiler: not destroying the Earth,]] displaying the ''genuine'' respect and perhaps even care for its inhabitants. This coming from the being who destroyed the planet of a lesser god because [[spoiler: he lost a game.]]
*** For that matter, Beerus is an unusual example of a DBZ antagonist in that he's not even really actually evil at all. Sure, he threatens to destroy the Earth, but he conducts himself with a great deal of dignity and respect for Earth's inhabitants, and is even polite at Bulma's party. When Goku initially challenges him early on in the movie, he politely accepts the challenge. He legitimately just wants to find out what a Super Saiyan God is, and have a battle worthy of his level of skill. When you think about it, he's actually quite a bit like Goku in that sense.
*** He's sort of a deconstruction of Goku, both of them being rather lazy outside of the prospect of fighting things, obsessed with food, kind and respectful but with no sense of being rude, outright terrifying to enemies when angry and generally the most dangerous things in the universe. The only difference is is that Beerus had nobody to give him a moral compass.
** In the uncut version of the movie, we have an extended scene with Old Kai and the Supreme Kai. Supreme Kai is musing about how Goku can make friends with anyone, including the God of Destruction himself. Old Kai then says that it wasn't just Goku alone, but their entire group. He goes on to say that it was probably the entire planet itself since Goku was supposed to be a vicious warrior and Vegeta was a murderous space pirate who were both turned to good people. It gives new highlight that the despite humans being physically weak, the [[HumanityIsInfectious human heart]] itself can turn even the most vicious being into a friend.
* Former Demon King Piccolo quietly (if grumpily) babysitting Gohan and Videl's infant daughter is pretty adorable.

*** Just the fact that Piccolo and Krillin, who spent the majority of the series hating Vegeta's guts and wouldn't be blamed for feeling he deserves to die, are ''mournful'' when Vegeta sacrifices himself. Piccolo tells Krillin that Vegeta is fighting for someone other than himself for the first time in his life and Krillin even ''screams'' Vegeta's name as he witnesses the Saiyan Prince use Final Explosion on Buu. Krillin's reaction to Vegeta's death shows just how far Vegeta had come, as just a decade earlier Krillin had to be talked out of executing him.

*** Then, during the explosion, two things happen. First, Piccolo tries to go back and save him (he's of course stopped), and at least in the dub version, there is a moment where the blast radius reaches its apex that underneath Vegeta's theme, his screams are cut off, at which point no one can claim it's not a TearJerker.
*** Krillin stops Piccolo, then ''he'' later tried to stop Vegeta himself only to be prevented by ''Piccolo''.

* Gohan and Krillin's reunion with Dende.

to:

* The reason why Goku wants to bring the dragon balls back. He and his family were on a nice family outing, enjoying the time they have left, only to find out that an entire army was sent to kill Cell, with Goku practically begging them to get away, as it's essentially throwing their lives away. It hurt him immensely to hear how Cell predictably wiped them all out, and soon came up with the plan to get the balls back because he can't allow all the lives he's ended go to waste any longer.
* The Namekians reactions when Goku arrives on New Namek. They are beaming with joy when meeting the man responsible with saving their race and defeating Frieza, despite Goku claiming he failed to save their planet, they could care less since they still feel indebted. As soon as they hear about the Cell situation (In the anime, they could already feel the trouble happening), they spare no time in finding ways to help the team that saved them. Moori even offered Dende's services because they all feel confident he can do the job, that and because Dende really wants to see Gohan and Krillin again.
* Gohan and Krillin's reunion with Dende. Also, when Dende successfully restored the Dragon Balls back, Nail [[SoProudOfYou telepathically congratulates Dende]], always knew he'd be capable one day.
