* After the Japanese begin their attack against Australia, one of the missionary priests from the school that houses children from interracial unions fervently pleads with one of the soldiers to take him out to sea and bring them back to safety. Even though a good portion of the Imperial Navy is out there, he still wants to go and save the children. Even if what his order is doing is wrong (trying to "civilize" the children and cleanse them of their Aboriginal heritage), he nevertheless cares enough about their well-being to risk his own life to bring them back.
