* During "Compassion", Zach comes across a new immigrant family's house burning down. They lose everything in it, and they can't afford another house. The kid, Emil, is in Zach's class, but Zach is unsure if he should help him, because they never even talked to each other before. The stories Plato tells him during that episode are enough to inspire him and Annie to contact a charity organization so they can help Emil and his family build a new house. The episode ends with Zach gifting Emil with the toy plane he's spent most of the episode playing with.

** One of the stories is about a girl traveling for miles to find water for her sick mother. [[{{Determinator}} She never gives up or loses her spirit]]. When she does, she selflessly shares it with a stray dog she finds, her grandmother, and her mother. Each time, the tin pot changes from iron into silver, and then gold. After her mother gets a sip, she gets a heartwarming moment when telling her daughter to drink some for herself. Before she does, an old man comes to the door begging for water. The girl gives him her share. As thanks, he reveals he is a spirit and wants to reward her for her generosity: he causes a spring to emerge, with enough water for the whole family to last for a long time. The tin pot ends up in the sky, as the Big Dipper.
* "The Magic Thread"
** Peter and Lisa's relationship. He's been in love with her since he was a little boy, and they end up dating through college. From what we see, they are HappilyMarried and grow old together.
** The moment where Peter stops using the thread momentarily is when he sees how old his mother has become. She tells him not to worry because getting old is a fact of life. He lasts through the first few months of Lisa bearing a baby and only reneges when he can't deal with his son's teething.
** When their kids go off to college, Peter admits that he is going to miss all of the little ones. He feels like they grew up too soon.
** The adaptation turns the witch into a StealthMentor. She saw that Peter spent most of his life pulling the thread, and showed him that he had arrived when his mother and his wife Lisa died. He tries blaming her, but the witch points out that he made the choice to pull the thread, and kindly asks him what he would do if he could go back to being a kid. Peter admits he would enjoy each moment, rather than rushing through them and spend time with his loved ones. She instructs him to break the ball, to get his wish. He does so and ends up waking up just outside the schoolhouse with Lisa, where she wakes him up in time for their test, and they're kids again. Peter admits he didn't study but he did learn a lesson. He then promises to tell her his dream tomorrow, and they run into school together.

* The entire episode of "Perseverance". Seeing Zach and Annie as TrueCompanions in this episode and how they regret their problems with their lessons is just romantic.
