* How do things end up in beer jars like two mice, a rat, a syringe, a nose, a gum of teeth, an ear, a candlestick, and Hitler's head end up in the jar.

* Couldn't Homer have told everyone that he didn't want to run over Santa's Little Helper?

** They explained this, Bart himself came to the realization he made up Dark Stanley because he crazes the attention (more than spaghetti).

** Years ago it was fairly common to use your middle name instead of your first. I had a great-uncle who went by his middle name his whole life that I didn't know his first name until he died. This would be in the prime of Burns' youth.

* When the firefighters rush to the Simpsons' house on their fire truck in "Homer the Hertic", why did they stop to let a mother duck and her numerous ducklings cross. Firefighters never stop at crossings or red lights. Couldn't they have honked the horns or turn the siren very loud? Couldn't they have taken an alternative way?

* Why did Springfield Elementary School decide to not have the day off?
** Skinner's "Cal Ripken-like streak of school openage", which is apparently strong enough to ignore common sense and safety.

** This was lampshaded by Lou in ''The Fool Monty''.
** Springfield has an average IQ of about 60, and that would be lower without Lisa, Martin, Dr. Hibbert, and Professor Frink pulling them up.
*** Plus there were helicopters, soldiers, and Jeeps around it to ensure no one got out. If everyone tried to burrow through the same hole, half of them would be drugged and shipped back in by the end of the day.
*** Yes, but let's not forget that Springfield has its own Mensa chapter; you'd at least expect ''them'' to come up with some sort of plan...
*** I remember the episode where Mensa was featured. The members probably started arguing about whether to use the giant laser or the giant drill and got all into a sulk.
** Frink had an acid drill that could get through anything. [[TheKeyIsBehindTheLock It was just outside the dome.]]
** They could've done it when no one's watching like in ''Film/TheGreatEscape''. They were able to rescue Bart from the well by digging to the bottom.
*** Only because they had Sting to help...
*** I doubt they would have been concerned about soldiers and such catching them and sending them back if they had dug. At one point they were doing all they could to break the dome, in clear view.
