** Humans and Fillorians appear to be the same species and it's plausible that Fillorians came from Earth (given that they're said, as of season 5, to have been brought to Fillory via seashorse) and Librarians are also human, so it may be species-locked. IE the wellspring feeds human magic (Earth, Fillory, the library) and other species each have their own wellspring (although it may be in different forms).
