They were damaged due to being connected to Raava, but at the same time, the ponies and Korra are still soul bonded. But also, they never get a chance to use them until fighting Tirek. And even then, they ended up using Rainbow Power despite having the elements in the past. So...did Rainbow Power charge the elements for use, or is that a sign from the great change of the new elements of harmony, or what? I mean, you'd think that they'd at least try rainbow gunning the mech Kuvira had, right?
