* So, how come Brittney Wilson did not return to do Mary in seasons 2-4? And why did Emily Tennant take over as Mary in the Netflx seasons rather than Creator/AshleighBall returning? It's not like scheduling was the problem since Ashleigh still returned as Jeffy in an episode so why did she not return as Mary too?

** That's why tropes like EnemyMine exist. They team up against common adversities like Gil not being aware of either of them but, once it's just between them...

** It's entirely possible that EVERYONE thinks that Dukey is well trained. A dog being trained to stand on its hind legs for a period of time is not outside the realm of possibility. And if they're not around long enough to see him stand up for too long to get suspicious, they may not bother. And much of the time Dukey is in disguise or sits down after a time. So people don't know he's a dog, or their belief that it's a training trick is reinforced.

** Identical, most likely. In all but their slight differences in eye color. And even if Mary's hair is naturally curly (and not curled on an iron) while Susan's is straight, for all other intents and purposes they're identical.

to:

** Above all else the girls are scientists. The girls, when not a part of hairbrained schemes or trying to use science to get Gil's heart, can be seen trying to work on things like cures for feet stinking, the common cold, and even cures for cancer. Plus the fact that they have homework for their university to do which would need a fairly large scale scientific space. So even if they put limits (or try to) on their more dangerous experiments, they won't outright ban them from it.

to:

** It's not an uncommon thing to have identical twins voiced by different actors to get easier recognition. Even though Mary and Susan have different visual cues to distinguish them, different voices helps to differentiate them and their speech patterns enough to make recognizing which one is speaking a lot easier

** Hugh has been descrived as "a bit obssessed" by the theme song and he has shown to be neurotic and high-strung at times so he's probably a ControlFreak as well. Doesn't occur to him to explain things.

* Honestly, am I the only one who thinks that Johnny's father doesn't deserve to be the series ChewToy? A lot of jokes center on him being a HouseHusband (his bad cooking in particular), but considering the amount of times the house has been destroyed from each episode's wacky hijinks, he seems to be the only person keeping everything together. Furthermore, his attempts to ground Johnny or make him engage in other activities besides having fun and playing video games make him seem like a killjoy, but in reality he's actually the only person who cares about Johnny's well being and future. Every episode he desperately tries to reign in on Johnny's impulsiveness and the sister's disregard for safety protocol in regards to their brother because, even though this is a cartoon, his children are constantly putting themselves into danger on a day-to-day basis (aliens, genetic experiments, rampaging robots, rampaging disembodied limbs, angry mole people, etc). Even though his wife is too busy to reprimand the children for their shenanigans, she never seemed to show the same level of care and attentiveness towards Johnny than her husband. More times than not, she's often on the phone talking about a business deal or off at work safe from home where most of the craziness is going on, while Johnny's dad has to constantly worry on whether or not Johnny's going to come in for dinner with an extra limb or something.
** That's why he's a ChewToy. Whenever he tries to help he either gets caught in the crossfire, or his actions make the situation worse.
