** Mrs. Hayfer obviously would do everything in her power to convince herself and others of her pre-existing bias that Drake is responsible for everything wrong in her life, and it's clear that the judge presiding over the trial is an idiot who shouldn't be anywhere near a courtroom, much less in charge of one. It takes Mindy literally confessing in front of him for him to acquit Drake, and he does it almost as an afterthought on his way to get soup.

* Do Walter and Audrey hate their sons and think their devil spawns go out of their way to do bad things just for the sake of it or are they just plain stupid? Some of the stuff I can understand them getting angry about, such as going skydiving when forbidden to since that was entirely Drake and Josh's fault, but the episode where Megan adopts a sheep always baffled me. Here they ground Drake and Josh because they found a sheep in the house, but they have no proof that Drake and Josh were at fault here other than the fact [[SarcasmMode that their precious little angel Megan would never do such a thing]]. Do they believe that Drake and Josh would just go out and randomly buy a sheep just to purposely disobey them and spite them, and why do they easily believe Megan's lies? A little girl would be more inclined to get a cute, fluffy animal than two older teenage boys, and yet they, as their parents, seriously think that Drake and Josh would be the types to want to own a sheep? With that being said, the sheep could have just escaped a petting zoo and wandered into their yard for all they know, so why couldn't Drake and Josh just say that they randomly found it and were trying to find a home for it instead of saying it was Megan's fault since at this point they should know that Megan would just manipulate her parents into thinking she's innocent? They're completely aware that she's an evil genius and there's no use in trying to get her in trouble.

* Shouldn't Drake have gotten a harsher punishment in "Paging Dr. Drake"? Posing as a doctor to flirt with the female nurses is one thing, but he attempted to take the reigns during a surgery and delayed it to the point where the patient's anesthetic wore off. I could be wrong but that's medical malpractice isn't it? He should've definitely been arrested, all things considered.

*** Word of God is that the question was deliberately left unresolved because it just wasn't important to the series. Now, for the fanon: Josh's fear of hospitals ("Paging Dr. Drake") suggests that he's had bad experiences with them. This, coupled with his quicker acceptance of his new family than the Parker kids implies to some fans that Josh's mother died of some sort of illness. Drake, on the other hand, took a much longer time to get used to having a stepbrother and stepfather. Even at the end of the series, he and Megan still called Walter by his first name rather than "dad." Josh had been calling Audrey "mom" for at least half of the show's run. This, plus his behavior in the episode where D&J thought Walter was having an affair, suggests to some fans that Drake's dad left them.

* In one episode, Drake and Josh have to drive a wedding cake to their aunt's wedding, but Drake gives Craig and Eric Josh's bag, containing his cell phone and the car keys, and forcing them to drive his [[TheAllegedCar friend's terrible car]]. (Which of course leads to a MyCarHatesMe episode.) At one point Drake suggests to Josh that they call Craig and Eric and get them to bring the bag back and Josh states that they don't have cell phones. But Drake gave them the bag with the keys and JOSH'S CELL PHONE. So why didn't they just call that?
** They decide to call someone else but then realize that neither of them has cell phones on them themselves because Josh is, as you said, with Craig and Eric, and Drake dropped in his in soup because he "wanted to see if it would float." But it's still interesting that, before they realized that Drake didn't have a phone, it didn't occur to them to use it to call Josh's.

* In the episode Josh is Done, on the day of an important chemistry exam Drake takes the car and leaves Josh behind. Josh ends up having to run to school but ends late for class unable to take the exam. Why didn't Josh call Drake's cell phone to tell him to come back? It wouldn't have taken that long since Drake had left seconds before Josh came into the kitchen.

** Drake's an idiot. You expect him to do the things he does. Josh is supposed to be the brains of the duo, so when he does something like not read a contract and sign it on someone else's behalf, it comes off as incredibly irresponsible and uncharacteristic. You aren't wrong, Drake can be seen as hypocritical, but the scenario has to do with the dynamic the brothers follow.

** I just went back and watched the episode and at no point is it specified that the peppers were illegal in contests only. The host plainly states that the pepper is illegal in America in general due to the health problems it creates.
