Stella, being a [[IGaveMyWord woman of her word]], twists this by declaring herself to be Ikki's slave due to losing a mock battle with him, because she lost TheBet. This exasperates Ikki as much as if it were the other way around. Though this becomes HarsherInHindsight in-universe when she makes a similar bet with Kirihara.

But by complimenting her beauty, Ikki causes Stella to disable her powers due to her embarrassment and (in the anime at least) sets off the fire surpression sprinklers above her, leaving her soaked instead. Ikki comes to the Vermillion Empire, and promptly meets [[OlderThanTheyLook Stella's Mother], who quickly spirits her off to a private meeting with her father. At this point, Ikki learns the hard way about how fast lies travel, as it seems that nobody has bothered telling the people of the Vermillion Empire that all those nasty rumors being spread about his relationship with their beloved princess in the first arc were false.

** And where does Ikki go to flee from them? He can't sleep outside, Shizuku will cause other problems, he decides against Alice, and so he ends up rooming with [[spoiler: his brother [[CainAndAbel Ouma]]!]]

They talk for a bit, and he asks her if she remembers what he told her in the log cabin, about why they shouldn't [[spoiler: have sex]]. When she replies that she does, he promptly tells her to forget everything he said.
