* FridgeLogic: In the first episode, the Saxons use Roman-esque square shields and the Danes use Viking round shields. In reality, both used round shields, but this was likely changed to tell the armies apart in the show. Yet in the same battle, a lot of Danish shields [[https://herodotushistoryblog.wordpress.com/2016/04/24/20-things-the-last-kingdom-got-wrong/ bear crosses]] even though the Danes being Pagan and the Saxons being Christian is a plot point. Couldn't they have just given round shields with crosses to the Saxons and round shields with Pagan symbols to the Danes?
