Seriously, that cannot be stressed enough: these supposedly high-ranking officers waste four superweapons on a bunch of kids- superweapons that will starve their hosts if they're ever confiscated, then proceed to put 90% of the pressure on these poor kids. Their military doctrine can be called into question, too: even a cursory scan of Terran cultures would reveal A. we're culturally adapted to the ''idea'' of alien life, even though [[RealityEnsues we'll likely never meet whatever's out there soon.]] Heck, America's current President is an unabashed science-fiction geek. One cautious diplomatic mission later and we're launching defense satellites into orbit, ensuring TheVirus never makes planetfall.
