!!This film contains examples of:

* AndTheAdventureContinues: [[spoiler:Schmidt and his unit eliminate the zombies and kill the scientist who made them, but the film ends with him being notified of another sighting.]]
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: [[spoiler:Russo injects himself with the zombie formula to fight a zombified Shaltur.]]
* AntiIntellectualism: Captain Mitchell writes off Schmidt as a "college boy" just because he knows French.
* AssholeVictim: The werewolves and zombies kill both several Nazis and a couple rapists.
* BigBadWannabe: Captain Mitchell, the commanding officer of the unit, is a violent war criminal who could serve as the BigBad of a ''Film/{{Platoon}}''-esque war movie, but his threat is eclipsed by the Nazis and their super science.
* BoxedCrook: Most of Captain Mitchell's unit are crooks offered a pardon for doing the mission.
* ForcedIntoEvil: [[spoiler:Shaltur was forced to do the experiments when the Nazis threatened his family.]]
* GreaterScopeVillain: Shaltur's experiments were personally authorized by Hitler himself. [[spoiler:Despite the fact that Shaltur was forced into the experiments, the men who did so never show up either.]]
* ObligatoryWarCrimeScene: Captain Mitchell leading a couple of his men in raping some French civilians and killing one of them when she tries to retaliate in the morning.
* OurWerewolvesAreDifferent: These are ravenous creatures stuck in wolf form by mad science, only kept in check by shock collars until they're let loose to kill as many people as possible until slain themselves. They resemble humans with semi-lupine features, but no more hair than they had in life. The disease is transferrable via bite, and somehow turns into more traditional lycanthropy when spread.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: These are undead beasts that exist solely to kill with their brute strength, and can only be put down by a bullet to the head. Even the, sometimes it takes two.
* ShoutOut: One soldier is seen reading an issue of ''Super-Mystery Comics'', an anthology from the Golden Age.
* TheSociopath: Captain Mitchell, a thuggish American soldier who's abrasive to his own men at the best of times and rapes civilians at the worst of times. He seems to genuinely believe that there are no innocents and anything he doe to people is deserved.
