Misplaced, moving to the correct tab

* BrokenAesop: The film tries to convey the message that you need to know when to stand your ground and when to run away. Perhaps it does, but every bit as apparent is that violence is frequently an easy way to solve one’s problems.

** Tommy Fucking Hatcher! And the rest of his firm are no better.

to:

** Jeremy Van Holden, who frames Mark for drug possession, by hiding his stash in Mark's closet, to save his and his father's (who expects to be re-elected) reputation in the beginning.
** Tommy Fucking Hatcher! And Hatcher, as his establishing moment is bashing a man's head against the table, because he wouldn't keep his girlfriend quiet. This extends to the rest of his firm are no better.
firm, too, especially his [[TheDragon second in command]] who was eager to attack [[spoiler: Shannon & her infant child.]]
** Bovver also.Bovver, as he is constantly hostile against Mark and, after learning about [[spoiler: Mark's past as a journalist student, he informs Tommy Hatcher instead of Pete.]]

* WouldHitAGirl: When Shannon arrives in her car at the scene of the GSE and NGO, Tommy's second in command, Mark, tries to smash the car window to attack Shannon. Thankfully Matt and Bovver stops him and beats him up for it.

* GrayAndGrayMorality: Both the GSE and the NGO members are vicious thugs thirsty for violence so there's no saint on either side. Some of'em however has some standards and redeeming traits.

* NeverMyFault: Tommy blames the GSE for being responsible for the death of his son, and while that is true since one of the GSE members did kill his son, Tommy is equally as responsible for his son's death, since he got him involved in the fight between his firm and the GSE. Pete calls him out for this, telling him he should have protect his son, [[spoiler: and unfortunately, that costs Pete his life...]]

Added DiffLines:

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Tommy deeply loved his son and his main goal is to take revenge on Steve for having indirectly killed him. Unlike other examples however this doesn't humanize him at all since Tommy himself is equally responsible for his son's death. No responsible father would bring his 12 years old son to a violent hooligan match. Pete later calls him out on it.

As it received mixed reviews, the film's [[WhatTheHellCastingAgency questionable casting choices]] and [[WhatTheHellIsThatAccent highly questionable accents]] (the two problems being connected) were considered serious flaws. That's not to say that the reviews were all bad, however, with Creator/RogerEbert giving the film a glowing response.

Critical Research Failure is a disambiguation page

** Also, when Matt asks about the aftermath of the fight between the GSE and the Spurs hooligans, Shannon responds that "Tottenham was in town." Anyone who watches English soccer/football knows that Tottenham is a club from London... [[CriticalResearchFailure the same city that West Ham and Millwall are based in.]] Albeit, perhaps Shannon herself, as an American who is quite disinterested in the sport, didn't know this fact.

* DownerEnding: Despite the film trying to make it [[BittersweetEnding seem a bittersweet]], on reflection [[spoiler:Matt]] is the only character to end the film happy. After all, [[spoiler: Pete’s dead, most of the \GSE are in prison (revealed in the sequels), Tommy is a Karma Houdini, Shannon has been forced to leave her husband, and Steve is critically injured in hospital and has lost his wife, son and brother in one fell swoop.]]
