* CarnivalOfKillers: The killers hunting Roy are a diverse bunch to say the least. They range from fairly normal with a few quirks (Pam's only odd trait is that she has Hitler's personal gun, and there's nothing unusual about Roy Number 2 aside from the fact he resembles Roy), to downright bizarre (Kaboom is a MadBomber with dwarfism, and Smiley is a hillbilly with [[IronicNickname rotten teeth]] who likes to harpoon his targets and drag them through the street behind his truck). It is revealed that this was outright invoked: Ventor instructed Brett to make sure to hire assassins outside of their usual pool so that they would be harder to trace back to him, and to make sure they are really weird ones.

It is revealed that this was outright invoked: bizarre. It's actually an InvokedTrope, as Ventor instructed Brett to make sure to hire assassins outside of their usual pool so that they would be harder to trace back to him, and to make sure they are really weird ones.ones.
** A fairly ordinary-looking assassin who attacks him as he's sleeping in the morning.
** A pilot who basically ''[[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill blows up his entire apartment building with a gunship]]''. This one kills Roy the most times simply because, well, ''heavily-armed assault chopper.''
** Pam, a rather strange woman who takes great pride in the fact that she kills her marks with Hitler's personal sidearm.
** Roy #2: ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin. A guy who looks, dresses, and acts exactly like Roy.
** Kaboom: A psychotic dwarf who really, really [[MadBomber likes blowing shit up.]]
** Smiley: A hillbilly with [[IronicNickname rotten teeth]] who likes to harpoon his targets and drag them through the street behind his truck.
** Guan Yin: An overly flamboyant LargeHam who also happens to be a nigh-unstoppable master swordswoman, ending each of her kills with her own personal {{catchphrase}} "I am Guan Yin, and Guan Yin has done this!" (complete with DramaticWind, including indoors).
** The German Twins: Two absolutely huge [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin German twins]] armed with [[MoreDakka anti-material weaponry]].

* TooDumbToLive: Roy, ''way'' too many times to count. The crowning gem is definitely him thinking that infiltrating the compound dressed as Roy #2 - who ''looks and dresses exactly like him, hence the monicker'' - was a stealthy way to do it. It ends precisely as expected.

** After flying through the bus windscreen on one occasion, Roy lies on the floor, wishing to hurry up and die from his injuries and reset the loop. A passenger obliges him by indifferently stepping on his head with her high heel.

* HumanShield: Roy is routinely using various {{Mooks}} to find cover behind. For his credit, Dynow Lab security is wearing ballistic vests and isn't too kin of shooting their own, giving him a genuine advantage.

Added DiffLines:

* ThrowAwayGuns: Even on the rare occasions Roy has spare mags on him, he almost never has ''time'' to reload. Eventually, he stops even bothering with looking for ammunition and goes through the loops by using whatever gun he has for as long as it has ammo, then [[YouKillItYouBoughtIt picking another one from]] the {{mook}} he just killed.

* PistolWhipping: [[spoiler: In the final loop, where Roy is using the helicopter attacking his apartment to get a ride directly to Dynow Lab's rooftop]], he congratulates the pilot on his flying skills once there and knocks the guy out with the pistol he used so far to threaten him.

* RewatchBonus: If you pay attention during the first scene, [[spoiler:the caller ID on the cellphone the assassin turns off says the incoming call is from Brett. Said cellphone is in the dentist's purse, meaning one of the first things we see in the film reveals the twist that the dentist was working for Dynow]].
