** One of the worse possible fates is getting kidnapped by [[{{Santabomination}} SCP-4666]]. He ritualistically slaughters families in horrifying ways while the ones he hasn't killed yet are ForcedToWatch. He sometimes will spare the youngest child and take them to his lair where they are forced to make toys out of the body parts of other children which SCP-4666 gives as presents to the families that he doesn't attack. One victim survived as one of SCP-4666's slaves for two years before she could no longer work and survived being turned into a doll long enough to tell the Foundation about SCP-4666's lair.

Added an example from The Monument Mythos

Added DiffLines:

* ''WebVideo/TheMonumentMythos'' contains ''many'' unique examples, but the trope is most literally used in reference to the Rockefeller Tree Tragedy, wherein eleven children are zapped by energy from an anomalous Christmas tree. Rather than being physically harmed in any way, they are [[spoiler:swapped with versions of themselves from a parallel universe, where almost every aspect of their lives are different, down to their families and even their inner anatomy]]. Ex-president John D. Rockefeller notes that he would have preferred the Tragedy to have resulted in death once he discovered the true extent of the childrens' condition, which sheds light on how truly horrific the outcome was.

* The 2006 Halloween episode of ''WebVideo/TheAngryVideoGameNerd'' had Jason Voorhees forcing the Nerd to play [[TheProblemWithLicensedGames the terrible]] ''Franchise/FridayThe13th'' NES game and say good things about it, under threat of death. At one point the Nerd attempts to escape but is eventually cornered by Jason.

* In ''Literature/{{Citadel}}'' there was once a man dying of cancer. His bitterness and rage transformed him into the being called Chemo. During his brief rampage through Carson City, he spread a cloud of toxin that left everyone exposed in absolute, horrific agony. No damage to their bodies, no illness that could be treated, just simple pain. It didn't end when he was killed and no Healer active at the time was able to so much as lessen the effect.

* ''LetsPlay/{{Mahu}}'': In "Second Chance", being captured by the Zracon priesthood is seen as this. If the victim resists the brainwashing, he is killed. If he does not, he is brainwashed to become a fanatic agent to the Zracon cause and ready to do anything and kill anyone to spread the "truth" of the Light.
