An AlternateUniverseFic based on the [[Anime/YuGiOh Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters]] anime. Princess Mai journeys to the city of Hermos to meet with a prospective suitor, prince Jean Claude. She has barely had a chance to settle in when a dragon attacks the castle and carries her off. Her situation becomes even more complicated when she learns the dragon is under a curse, and wants her to help him break it.

Nonetheless, he was prosperous, rich, and good looking to bootóall criteria that Mai needed to live a comfortable life. First appearances weren't everything, right? She had decided to give him a chance and see where it went from there.
But now, looking back on it all, she realized that none of that mattered any more.
