* WhatCouldHaveBeen - Originally, Sandra was going to be a more classic villain who had never known Snap before, and thus had no connection to him when she began to torment him. In this version of the story, she intended to kill Snap from the beginning and she did not attempt to [[spoiler:justify her killing zoners for meat; it was something that she just did because she wanted to]]. However, during the course of writing chapter one, the author began to write the character in a new direction, and eventually led to the morally challenged character present in the current story.
** Mint was not going to be in the story at first. The author had debated on whether or not to make Shattered Doll a sequel and to what story, or let it be stand alone. She ultimately settled on making it a sequel to You Belong To me, and thus Mint was brought in.

* CompleteMonster - Sandra really has no redeeming qualities by the end of the story. [[spoiler:Killing countless zoners for food]], tormenting someone she calls her friend all for an educational experience, and refusing to see things outside of her little bubble, it's hard to feel sorry for her when she gets her comeuppance.

* LawfulEvil - Sandra feels very strongly about promises. She regards keeping a promise as the most important thing in the world. When she makes a promise, she will not break it. She expects everyone else to do the same. If a promise is broken, well..let's just say that's the fastest way to make her drop her affable trait and go straight into a murderous rampage.

* MoralEventHorizon - Sandra crosses this line many times. A couple of her atrocities include:
** Her torturing Snap just to teach him a lesson.
** [[spoiler:Killing countless zoners just to make a meat product out of them, and then feeding said meat even to loved ones of the deceased.]]
** [[spoiler:Breaking Rudy’s neck when his only “crime” had been breaking a promise to Penny years prior.]]
** It gets worse when she [[spoiler:heartlessly asks him to draw a picture for her, despite knowing that he was paralyzed.]] She did this solely out of spite.

* NeutralGood - Rudy and his friends can be classified as this, since their main priority is helping people, not upholding the law. However, they do not snub the law.

* Good Is Not Nice - Dr. Gelcro means well, but he is not the nicest person.
* Good Is Not Soft - Although Mint has gotten better over the years and is much friendlier, he still retains an attitude when it comes to enemies and those getting in the way.
