* GoodAnimalsEvilAnimals: Played straight as an arrow with the creatures. Carnivores are [[PredatorsAreMean mindless, slavering monsters]] and Mylar's creations are [[AlwaysChaoticEvil outright evil]]. Herbivores on the other hand get two portrayals: if they are small and cute, they are [[HerbivoresAreFriendly friendly towards the protagonists]] (and are often anthropomorphized to a ridiculous degree) and if they are large and [[BadAss Badass-looking]], they will provide the occasional BigDamnHeroes moment.

''[[http://ckdinomite65.deviantart.com/gallery/34412421 PnFPrimeval]]'' is a series of stories and artwork on Website/DeviantArt by Creator/CKDinomite. The series chronicles the adventures of [[WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb Phineas]] and the gang (who are teenagers) as they encounter the anomalies and the creatures that come through them. It isn't very similar to the original ''Series/{{Primeval}}'', as it is LighterAndFluffier and features teenage main characters. One could argue it is more similar to ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' in those respects. It is currently in its fourth series.

!!Tropes:

* AlwaysChaoticEvil: From what we've seen of them so far, Professor Mylar's MixAndMatchCritters.
* BigBad: Professor Mylar is this in seasons 3 and 4.
* TheCheerleader: The Fireside Girls have become cheerleaders, but they lack the bitchy stereotypes normally associated with such characters.
* {{Expy}}: Dr. Hunt is this to Buffy's Giles.
* EvilBrit: Averted with Dr. Hunt, who is British and is a heroic [[TheMentor Mentor]] to the protagonists. Played straight with Professor Mylar.
* LighterAndFluffier: In comparison to the original ''Primeval''.
* JerkJock: Antonio is the ''[[AnthropomorphicPersonification personification]]'' of this trope.
* PredatorsAreMean: If a carnivorous creature appears, it is portrayed as either a mindless, slavering monster or an AxCrazy killer chasing the cute little herbivore around for no reason.
* PrehistoricMonster: One of the common criticisms of the series is that the carnivorous animals are often portrayed as being these, rather than the more nuanced portrayal they had in the original ''Primeval''.
* MixAndMatchCritters: The BigBad Professor Mylar specialises in creating these.
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: If a carnivorous dinosaur or reptile appears, it is generally portrayed as the antagonist of the episode.
* WholePlotReference: ''Savage Serpent'' is a WPR to the ''Series/LostTapes'' episode ''Megaconda''. The villain, Tom Kobar, even has a similar Masquerade (a textile worker) and a similar name to the villain of that episode, Ken Tobar.
