These examples of Surprisingly Realistic Outcome seem to violate at least one of these rules, which disqualifies them: No character reactions (characters get angry, don't forgive, don't change their personality instantly, etc.); Too fantastical (depends on the properties of magic, powers, sci-fi tech, monsters, etc.); Not surprising (a character was warned about the outcome, it's used to provide Karma or An Aesop, or it simply follows normal conventions for this genre or medium); Plot happens (the example only describes an event, but not why audiences would expect a different, unrealistic outcome); Not an outcome (a character just explains why something wouldn't work as expected); More of a Deconstruction (the event has major, lasting effects on the plot, make something more realistic, but not completely realistic, or a parody/fanwork applies realistic consequences to the events of a different work); or fits better under a different trope. See the trope's definition for more details. If you believe a removal was a mistake, please bring it up in the cleanup thread.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Yami Bakura offers Kaiba a DealWithTheDevil: he helps Joey in exchange for control of Kaiba's company. [[spoiler:Since he held up his end of the bargain, Yami Bakura successfully becomes CEO of [=KaibaCorp=]. However, due to some highly suspicious circumstances hours before the trade (including company HQ exploding, a man falling to his death from the rooftop, and Kaiba being hospitalized), as well as the fact that his host has no idea what's going on and neither of them knows ''how'' to run a company, Yami Bakura doesn't enjoy it as much as he thinks he would, and gives it back]].
** Kaiba can hear and see Joey, but ignores him for the first few chapters. FlatEarthAtheist he may be, when he and Joey finally talk, he raises a good point: he recently suffered a traumatic incident and could be hallucinating from PTSD. It's only after Joey pulls off an impossible stunt with witnesses (announcing Yugi's cards before he plays them) does he realize that Joey might be real.

* MythologyGag: The story is anime-based, but a line from Kaiba where Yugi wants proof that he's helping Joey and not simply luring his friends here to kill them calls the manga's Death-T arc to mind, where Kaiba did just that with a theme park of doom.

* AccidentallyAccurate: While written before the manga/anime got to the part about how the Items were made, Yami Bakura's statement that he knows roughly how it was done still fits, as do the parts about how much power the shadows once held. The ritual to save Joey is also accurate to the dubbed anime, as the villagers were sacrificed via their souls/life energy.
