Madara finds the baby carries his brother's soul and Izuna basically been reincarnated. In a whim, Madara decides to his brother in hopes of raising him by side.

In the end, Madara assumes that the reincarnation was imperfect and couldn't hold his brother's memories abandons Izuna. Izuna gets taken to Konoha, where he is discovered and placed in the same orphanage as Naruto.
