Primarily set in ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia'', it's a ForWantOfANail fic where another villain is present at the USJ and awakens the most recent past life of five of the students, each from various franchises/series: ''Manga/OnePiece'', ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'', ''Manga/FairyTail'', ''Manga/RanmaOneHalf'', and ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic''. The story depicts the students trying to navigate their lives with another life's memories and skills in their heads.

* ForWantOfANail: Due to the Priestess awakening the past lives of 5 members of 1-A, a few things have changed:
** Izuku is better able to handle the strain of One For All, due to Priestess's Quirk forcibly strengthening his muscles and bones to handle Sanji's fighting style. [[spoiler:This allows him to win the Sports Festival in spectacular fashion]].
** Momo does much better in the one-on-one tournament thanks to having Erza's skills. She makes it to the semi-finals and lands third place.
** Mashirao's bad sense of direction somehow lands him second place in the Obstacle Course without going off the track and getting disqualified.
** Izuku doesn't need to develop Shoot Style to lessen the strain on his arms since he already has Sanji's much more polished leg-based martial arts. In fact, he completely stops using his hands in combat since it feels wrong for him to do so, even though he no longer considers himself a chef first and foremost.
*** As a consequence of that and his increased strength in general, his self-destructive tendencies are significantly curbed, so Recovery Girl has no reason to stop healing him.
** Both Ochako and Momo end up taking different internships under fellow, adult Incarnates that remained pro-heroes. Ochako because she's already a master martial artist thanks to Hinata's memories and thus doesn't need any training under Gunhead, and Momo because she doesn't suffer from her canon self-esteem issues due to a combination of Erza's memories and winning her match against Tokoyami.
** [[spoiler:Awakening Katsuki completely foils the League of Villains' attempt to nab him, as it turned out his past life was Roronoa Zoro, who is far too powerful for anyone in the League short of All For One to handle. This, in turn, prevents the Kamino Ward arc from ever happening, and prompts Shigaraki to start looking at other hero schools for targets instead]].
*** [[spoiler:Because Kamino Ward never happened, the proctors for the License Exam see no reason to increase the difficulty of the second half with a mock villain attack. This allows all of Class 1-A to pass the exam and get their provisional licenses. It's later revealed that even if that hadn't been the case, none of them would've been able to take the remedial course since the Commission hasn't started offering it yet]].
*** [[spoiler:This leads to Shigaraki attacking ''all'' the hero schools right after their License Exams and kidnapping several students, including Izuku, for leverage during the attack]].
*** [[spoiler:Because Shigaraki elected to have the League attack all of the hero schools, Toga wasn't able to replace Camie during the Provisional License Exams because she was too busy helping prepare for the assault. This allows Camie to pass the exam on her own merits, but at the cost of being one of the students kidnapped to draw All Might in for a confrontation with the League]].
*** [[spoiler:As the kidnapping happens after the License Exam, Aizawa manages to prevent the students from going after Izuku themselves by having Aiko keep them in the loop and directing them towards attacking the Nomu and evacuating the civilians. Izuku later turns out not to need rescuing anyway, due to his increased strength and the help of his fellow kidnappees allowing them to escape on their own and rendezvous with All Might and Hibiki]].
** [[spoiler:It also means that Katsuki doesn't try to pick a fight with Izuku after he figures out the secret of One For All since he suffers from a GuiltComplex, not an inferiority complex. Instead, Izuku and All Might elect to let him fully into the secret, including showing him All Might's real body, since as Zoro's reincarnation, he's effectively Izuku's closest friend and a good starting point for his own support system]].

* ShoutOut: After Midoriya [[DidISayThatOutLoud accidentally revealed]] that he used his [[{{Invisibility}} raid suit's ability]] to [[PowerPerversionPotential peep at women's baths]], Mineta utters "[[Franchise/StarWars I sense a disturbance in the Force]]". Another is from chapter 23 when Aiko reveals Mashirao ended up in Hosu after [[Franchise/LooneyTunes missing a turn at Albuquerque]].

* AccidentalPun: When Hibiki shows up after the fight with Stain, Aiko tells Izuku, Toru and Mashirao "It's time to face the music" it was clear it was unintentional as she immediately lampshades it with "Oh... lucky pun!"

* AdultsAreUseless: Usually averted, except in one noticeable instance. The hero Mashirao was supposed to intern with lost the tracker and transceiver Hibiki sent him in the mail, and was too embarrassed about it to tell him. This caused Mashirao to never make it to that hero's agency, leaving him to wander Japan by his lonesome ''for three whole days'', [[spoiler:which led to him showing up in Hosu and taking part in the confrontation with Stain]]. Understandably, Hibiki is furious when he finds out, gives that hero the SilentTreatment for the next several months while salvaging Mashirao's internship by having him intern with Hibiki instead.
* AnswerCut: When Izuku and All Might are talking about Izuku's problems, Izuku states that Mashirao has it worse than him. All Might asks "What's wrong with him?", and it immediately cuts to Ochako, Momo, Toru and Tenya freaking out over how they lost him despite traveling together in a group.

* BenevolentAI: Hibiki's AI assistant Aiko, while she is sassy, snarky and often makes fun of everyone, she is firmly on the side of good, [[spoiler: and is genuinely apologetic when Bakugo's bullying comes out thanks to her meme.]]

** Mashirao's sense of direction. It's so bad that it's considered a legitimate handicap in the Obstacle Race, because he'll get disqualified if he goes off the track. Then he managed to get so lost that he won second place.
* BlazingInfernoHellfireSauce: The cupcakes that Toru makes for Katsuki are this. Katsuki claims that it's not that spicy, but judging by Momo's reaction when she didn't have a choice but to eat them and Kaminari, Kirishima, Mina, Yuzu and Dark Shadow's reactions when they all engage an eating contest using the cupcakes it shows that it really is that spicy.

* BreadEggsMilkSquick: Izuku gives Todoroki a speech about how he used the raid suit his father gave him. However something slips out..

** In chapter 6, Toru pulls out the party cannon. Afterwards Momo, Ochako and Izuku explain their past lives to the class and Aizawa announces the sports festival, when he dismisses class he says "Also Hagakure! Please put away the cannon."

* ButForMeItWasTuesday: {{Deconstructed|Trope}}. Bakugo honestly forgot he suicide baited Izuku. [[spoiler:This actually causes a HeelRealization when he's horrified that it's something he could forget.]]

** Hibiki Kinzoku was the original bar for how badly Priestess' Quirk could backfire. Being a super-genius that uses high-tech armor to fight villains and saved the ''universe'' in his past life, it's not hard to see why.

** Chapter 56 reveals that Priestess has an entire ''list'' of reincarnations that she doesn't want to awaken under any circumstance including, among others, Steve Rogers, Ranma Saotome, Rock Lee and, following her awakening Ryuji's PastLifeMemories of Tommy Oliver, all of the Power Rangers. There is one person at the top of said list, however: [[spoiler: Roronoa Zoro]]... who she just woke up after using her Quirk on [[spoiler: Bakugo]]. Cue VillainousBreakdown.

* FirstNameBasis: One of the rules of the therapy group is that they have to refer to each other by either their first names or nicknames. This leads everyone in the group to refer each other by their first names out of therapy as well.

** Izuku is better able handle the strain of One For All, due to Priestess's Quirk forcibly strengthening his muscles and bones to handle Sanji's fighting style. [[spoiler:This allows him to win the Sports Festival in spectacular fashion]].

While it is mostly Kirishima's fault, the fact that Bakugo didn't take charge and just followed him instead is rather telling. [[spoiler:It's foreshadowing that his own sense of direction isn't all that good, and will soon become ''worse'' than Kirishima's]].

** After they get a chance to talk during final exams, Izuku and Katsuki's relationship improves. While they're not exactly friends, they're still on better terms with each other, even if they start arguing more often. Izuku even compares it to the relationship Sanji and Zoro had. [[spoiler: Guess who Katsuki's past life was.]]

* FountainOfMemes: InUniverse example. Hibiki's AI Aiko creates memes as a hobby, and goes wild with them during the Sports Festival.

* HistoryRepeats: Izuku has to deal with the fact that in both of his childhoods he was bullied for not having powers and being weak.

* HumiliationConga: Bakugo gets a particularly karmic one: [[spoiler:first Izuku beats him at the finals of the Sports Festival, causing a lot of people to mock him because of his pledge at the start of the festival, then he overhears a conversation about him detailing how awful he is, then a meme reveals he was a horrible bully to the public and makes him a pariah, then someone suicide baits him saying he deserves it because he did the same thing to Izuku, and finally he gets confirmation that he ''did'' suicide bait Izuku, '''which he completely forgot about''']]. By the end of it all he's ready to eat crow just to figure out where he went wrong.

** With two exceptions (Toru and Mei switching places) the teams and their placement in the tournament remains the same (though Izuku and Momo do get farther than they did in canon).

** Priestess used her Quirk on five UA students in hope of ridding the world of five wannabe heroes. Instead, she empowered them, one of them so much that he could go toe-to-toe with Nomu then and there.

** Her attack on the Big Three is not quite as disastrous, but still pretty bad. [[spoiler:While Nejire didn't regain much from her PastLifeMemories due to the lack of magic, Tamaki became a genius strategist that can keep up with Nezu. Then there's Mirio, whose lack of a devil fruit doesn't change the fact that he's become an even stronger Haki user than Izuku and Katsuki and has reunited the three strongest members of the most powerful pirate crew to have ever lived]].

** [[spoiler:Katsuki as well, seeing as he's the reincarnation of Zoro and has his PastLifeMemories awoken by Priestess as well. He's arguably even worse in the Mashirao, because he's in complete denial about it and ultimately can't be left alone to go anywhere]].

** Izuku becoming cooking rivals with Lunch Rush. All that's known is that Lunch Rush tasted his cooking, declared him a rival and that it was food that Izuku made for All Might (as he's now cooking for him).

* NotSoInnocentWhistling: Yuzu during the I-Island gala as she filled her purse with food from the buffet. It's lampshaded being described the universal sign of guilt.

** [[spoiler:Zoro is even worse than that. He was the World's Greatest Swordsman in his world, one step below the Four Emperors themselves. As Katsuki, who already had plenty potential because of his Quirk, he's essentially Izuku's only potential rival for Number One Hero]].

** Another person this doesn't apply to is Ryuji -- because apparently, the MHA world has a Morphing Grid. Meaning, all he needs to do is access it to regain his past life abilities.

* SeenItAll: Izuku, Mashirao, and Hibiki, due to how weird their past lives were. [[spoiler:Katsuki joins the list not long after, and very few things phase him now]].

* ShipTease: Izuku and Ochako have something going on, but since they're still reeling from regaining memories of their past lives, neither of them have really bothered to acknowledge it.

* ShoutOut: After Midoriya [[DidISayThatOutLoud accidentally revealed]] that he used his [[{{Invisibility}} raid suit's ability]] to [[PowerPerversionPotential peep at women's baths]], Mineta utters "[[Franchise/StarWars I sense a disturbance in the Force]]". Another is from chapter 23, when Aiko reveals Mashirao ended up in Hosu after [[Franchise/LooneyTunes missing a turn at Albuquerque]].

* TooDumbToLive: Two reincarnated heroes in their past lives. Both of them survived cancer and decided to live their lives to the fullest however one died in a sky diving accident after choosing a rather sketchy company while the other trying to take a close picture of a rhino while on safari. Thankfully both of them took it in stride.

* YouWannaGetSued: In-Universe. When Mina tries to use the name Alien Queen, Midnight points out that as Disney owns the franchise [[note]] thanks to the Disney Fox merger [[/note]] they would probably sue her if she tries to use that name.

* ShoutOut: After Midoriya [[DidISayThatOutLoud accidentally revealed]] that he used his [[{{Invisibility}} raid suit's ability]] to [[PowerPerversionPotential peep at women's baths]], Mineta utters "[[Franchise/StarWars I sense a disturbance in the Force]]".

* SelfDepreciation: During Chapter 44, Aiko tells Izuku "I really don't get your mental blocks…", which is obviously the author jabbing at herself for having introduced the blocks in the first place.

* MassiveMultiplayerCrossover: It seems ''no'' franchise is off limits. While some like ''One Piece'' and ''Naruto'' are pretty typical, there's also ''My Little Pony'', the MCU, and (most surprising of all) ''Series/ThirtyRock''. Even later on she added ''Franchise/PowerRangers'', ''Franchise/HarryPotter'', ''Franchise/DoctorWho'', and the Franchise/{{DCAU}} to the mix.

** [[spoiler:And the trifecta is completed with Mirio. Sure, he no longer has devil fruit, but he's still easily as physically strong as the former two with superior Haki mastery to boot. Especially since he was comparable to Pro Heroes ''before'' getting those memories]].

** Hibiki gets another when telling Izuku he needs to make sure he doesn't suffer from any more serve personality clashes.

** [[spoiler:And the trifecta is completed with Mirio. Sure, he no longer has devil fruit, but he's still easily as physically strong as the former two with superior Haki mastery to boot]].

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** 96% of heroes hit with Priestess's Quirk quit the hero industry because they weren't heroes in their past lives and lack the drive to continue their careers (though there are some that do remain heroes that fall into this category like Yuzu). 3% remain heroes (usually because they were some kind of super-powered warrior in their past lives, like the five UA students), and the last 1% turn to villainy.
** To be the reincarnation of someone means that person died. That means each and every single one of Priestess's victims ''knows what it's like to '''die'''''. Is it any wonder why she's so hated?
** Izuku cannot afford to have Sanji's WouldNotHitAGirl traits because now his job requires him to protect other people on top of himself. That's why he started training with Momo for the Sports Festival.
** Ryoga's NoSenseOfDirection was a humorous gag. With Mashirao, it's extremely distressing because it can hamper his career as a hero, especially since he's still in training.
** The Sports Festival is aired on live TV. [[spoiler:It shouldn't be surprising that one of Izuku's old middle school classmates was watching it]].
** Pudding had numerous mental health problems, which were stated to get better over the years, but not disappear. Things like her split-personality made her feel unfit to raise children.
** Being from the same world as another reincarnation isn't necessarily a good thing, as your past lives could have been enemies. For example, Seito Kuroi, the reincarnation of Sirius Black, doesn't bother hiding his past life's cause of death (something that is usually a very taboo subject, even among fellow Incarnates) because his murderer Bellatrix Lestrange's reincarnation, Righteous Fury, was also awoken by Priestess and is running around as one of the Lost Souls. [[spoiler:When Mirio is awoken as a reincarnation from the ''One Piece'' world, there is significant worry that his past life could have been an enemy of Sanji and Zoro. Luckily, he isn't -- he's actually the reincarnation of their captain, Luffy]].
** Luffy had a rubber body that allowed his stomach to stretch and accommodate his massive appetite. [[spoiler:When his reincarnation Mirio, who inherited said appetite after the awakening of his PastLifeMemories, tries to eat that same amount, he's immediately put into a FoodComa because his body simply isn't fit to handle that much food anymore]].

** Bakugo, [[spoiler: after having to wear a child leash during second half the provisional license exam so that he wouldn't get lost]], insists that the incident is to never be spoken of again.

* LetUsNeverSpeakOfThisAgain: The title of Chapter 71, aka the [[spoiler:ComicBook/{{Deadpool}}]] chapter.

* AdultFear:
** Sanji never had kids because his wife, Charlotte Pudding, was terrified of being a terrible parent like her own mother, Big Mom.
** Mashirao's poor sense of direction is played realistically here, with Hibiki going as far as to put a tracker on him so his friends and authority figures can find him when he inevitably gets lost.

* BlessedWithSuck: While the UA students got their past lives' various skills, they also got their personality traits and habits, such as Ryoga's NoSenseOfDirection and Sanji's chain-smoking. Also, to reincarnate means you have to ''die'', and that means all of them remember their deaths.

** Izuku. When you can make everyone not named All Might or All For One look like a chump, it's not hard to see why.

* ShipperOnDeck: A weird case. [[spoiler:Sanji ships Izuku and Ochako. Since Izuku is his reincarnation, he's technically shipping ''himself'' with Izuku]].

* AdaptationalBadass: All five of the students are much more competent than their canon incarnations due to the abilities they gained from their past lives. This especially applies to Izuku, who has all of Sanji's abilities due to all of them being completely physical (including Haki, which just requires materializing willpower).

** After hearing all the things going wrong for the League of Villains as the USJ, Shigaraki yells out "There is no way this can possibly get worse!" cue Momo showing up and chopping off Nomu's arm.

** Mashirao vs. Seito. Mashirao is a master of SupernaturalMartialArtists. The only thing Seito got from his PastLifeMemories is learning how to fight slightly better in dog form. It barely takes five minutes for Mashirao to turn him into a punching bag.

* EveryoneHasStandards: While she does enjoy making fun of Hibiki at every opportunity, Aiko refuses to make fun of the time he tried to electrocute a swan by throwing his cell phone at it. While the execution was terrible, she admits swans are vicious along with the fact they have "teeth" in their beaks.
