* ''Literature/WarsOfTheRealm'' has several.
** There's Sason:
--> '''Validus''': Elohim has given Crenshaw the ability to sense and determine events moments before they happen.\\
'''Sason''': ''[to Crenshaw]'' So you can see the future.
** Brumak:
--> '''Validus''': Warrior Brumak.\\
'''Brumak''': This is the voice of Validus. How goes the life of ease and comfort in America?\\
...\\
'''Validus''': On your feet, warrior. You've been reassigned under my command, and we leave immediately.\\
'''Brumak''': Porthan must think I need a vacation.
** And the human Benjamin Berg:
--> '''Ben''': He [my father] will forever be upset that I didn't try to follow in his glorious athletic footsteps. Any mocking I may receive would be considered justifiable payment for neglecting the more appropriate and respected activities.\\
Ben sure had sarcasm down to a fine art.

* ''Literature/EmpireOfTheVampire'': Plenty of characters fall under this trope. Gabriel himself is quite partial to biting sarcasm, particularly when conversing with his jailer Jean-Francois, who gives as good as he gets. Every other word from Astrid Rennier's mouth is some witty jab, quip or insult. But Ashdrinker, Gabriel's EmpathicWeapon, quite possibly takes the cake with her mix of YeOldeButcheredeEnglishe and sudden, vicious bouts of barbed tonguelashing.
* One of the more intelligible anecdotes in ''English As She is Spoke: A Jest in Sober Earnest'' has an example:

* In Creator/DavidEddings's ''[[Literature/TheBelgariad Belgariad]]'' and ''Malloreon'', it'd almost be easier to list every major character who isn't either a CardCarryingVillain or a DeadpanSnarker. Even the Voice of the Prophecy (the speaking aspect of the cosmic force attempting to restore the universe to its original destiny) snarks it up almost every time it communicates with one of the characters.

** The sequel series, "The Mallorean", steers into this even harder - it sidelines most of the less snarky characters from the first series and fills the cast back up with more deadpan snarkers.

* ''Literature/BoyfriendMaterial'': Deconstructed. Luc is constantly snarking and cracking jokes at the expense of others, especially his fake boyfriend, but this hardly makes him more endearing to the people around him, to whom he just comes off as mean, especially when he accidentally starts needling people or using subjects they are sensitive about, which ends with him just being rude and he later feels bad for being snarky, however, he can't turn it off because it's a defense mechanism.

* {{Deconstructed}} in Creator/SaulBellow's ''Him with His Foot in His Mouth'', where the narrator is, in essence, a deadpan-snark addict. He couldn't resist any opening for snide remarks and would feel guilty after the damage is done, at times with sincere apologies. The number of faux pas he committed is enormous and that eventually contributed to ruining his life.
