Yasuo Yamada was a Japanese voice actor born in Tokyo, Japan.

Yamada left the faculty of literature of Waseda University, and has performed in many stage, radio, and television productions. His most famous role was Arsène Lupin III from the ''Anime/LupinIII'' series, starting in 1971 and ending in 1995. He also provided the Japanese dubbed voice for Creator/ClintEastwood, Jean-Paul Belmondo and Creator/GrahamChapman.

At the age of 62, Yasuo Yamada died of a brain hemorrhage. At the end of the credits of the film ''Anime/FarewellToNostradamus'', the first ''Lupin'' film without Yasuo, there is a tribute: "To Yasuo Yamada, Eternal Lupin the Third: Thank you!" .

Since Yasuo's death, Kanichi Kurita has taken over the role of Lupin the Third. As his last will, Yasuo requested Kurita to [[TheOtherDarrin Darrin]] him, if Yasuo died ([[CaptainObvious which Kanichi did]]).

Creator/GrahamChapman, but by far his most well-known role is that of the age titular character of 62, Yasuo the ''Franchise/LupinIII'' series, which he played from 1971's [[Anime/LupinIIIGreenJacket "Green Jacket"]] until 1994's ''[[Anime/LupinIIIDragonOfDoom Dragon of Doom]]''.

In March 1995,
Yamada suddenly died of a brain hemorrhage. At hemorrhage at the end age of 62. This was only a month before the credits of the film fourth theatrical film, ''Anime/FarewellToNostradamus'', would have its voices recorded making it the first ''Lupin'' Lupin film (and only the third Lupin animation of any kind) without Yasuo, him. At the end of the credits of the film, there is a tribute: "To Yasuo Yamada, Eternal Lupin the Third: Thank you!" .

Since Yasuo's his death, Kanichi comedian Kan'ichi Kurita has taken over the role of Lupin the Third. As his last will, Yasuo Third Kurita had won a Lupin impression contest a few years earlier, at which Yamada had been one of the judges. It turned out that Yamada had explicitly requested in his will that Kurita be the one to [[TheOtherDarrin Darrin]] him, if Yasuo died ([[CaptainObvious which Kanichi did]]).him should he die.
