Saladin Ahmed (born October 4, 1975) is an American writer of prose fiction, comic books, and poetry.

Ahmed first came to prominence as the author of the fantasy novel ''Throne of the Crescent Moon'', the first installment of the ''[[Literature/TheCrescentMoonKingdoms Crescent Moon Kingdoms]]'' series, which received a UsefulNotes/HugoAward nomination for Best Novel in 2013.

Off the success of his prose fiction, Ahmed later segued into writing comic books, most notably for Creator/{{Marvel}}. His first effort, ''ComicBook/BlackBolt'' (with Christian Ward), was a massive critical success, winning the [[Creator/WillEisner Eisner]] for Best New Series in 2018.

He continued writing for Marvel with the ComicBook/{{Quicksilver}} limited series ''[[ComicBook/AvengersNoSurrender No Surrender]]'', and the third volume of the ComicBook/XMen-adjacent ''ComicBook/{{Exiles}}''.
