Bradley Whitford is an American actor. Born 1959 in Madison, Wisconsin, he started with a string of minor roles before rising to prominence playing White House Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman on ''Series/TheWestWing''. Since then he's had several notable roles on television, including Danny Tripp on ''Series/Studio60OnTheSunsetStrip'', Dan Stark on ''Series/TheGoodGuys'', Magnus Hirschfield on ''Series/{{Transparent}}'', and Joseph Lawrence on ''Series/TheHandmaidsTale''. He's also appeared in several high-profile films.

Whitford was married to ''Series/MalcolmInTheMiddle'' actress Jane Kaczmarek for 16 years. He is now married to his ''Transparent'' costar Amy Landecker.
