* HemoErotic: In the one-shot ''Shadowhawk/Vampirella: Creatures of the Night'' (part two of their crossover), Vampirella offers herself to quench Shadowhawk's thirst. The pair flies in mid-air and Shadowhawk bites her neck to drain some of her blood. Believe it or not, the narration makes the scene sound like a metaphor for sex, describing the scene as "a moment of pure ecstasy", "the most intimate of moments", and how "two become one" and "[Shadowhawk] become[s] part of [Vampirella]". The second image accompanying the scene is Vampi and Shadowhawk swapping spit and blood.

* NinetiesAntiHero: Shadowhawk was introduced in 1992 (out of universe). In-Universe, he is a vigilante that stalks the nighttime after criminals of every sort, adopts a take-no-prisoners approach, and, as commented by a TV anchor in issue #2, the hospitals are ''filled'' with the results of his heroism. The man also wears a black costume with dark metallic armor, a spiky mask with red eyes and his face seems to be perpetually scowling under the mask.
